  • Wouldn't mind finding a deal on the ultra batteries

    • +1

I'm pretty sure there has never been one. Maybe a clearance if Ozito bring out the Einhell multi rated 4-6Ah battery?

  • is the app only for ios? can't find on Google play store

    • +3

Its called powerpass, but you need a powerpass account and an abn to get one of those.

  • AFAIK they are the same. Black is mostly to ensure they can match Aldi sales.

    • +1

i suspect it is to limit the sales of the batteries. why else wouldn't they just drop the price on their regular 4ah batteries?

Apparently it is a long running deal

  • the url you want is https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-4-0ah-lithium-ion-… and apparently no stock anywhere

    • As the above poster said, this seems to indicate that you need to special order it? Maybe worth calling your local's special order desk?

https://ibb.co/kV72Bc7 App shows most stores near me with stock on hand.

      • online says in stock at Scoresby and others around me

Lockdown special, you can thank us for that

  • They should be price matching with PowerXChange battery for $69

    • It is mate.

      • +1

There’s a slight difference, apart from the fact it should apply to all stores

        • The colour? I mean if you really don't want a black one get a red sharpie whilst you're there.

  • Cool, if you see the stamped manufacting date on the battery, and if 3 years old or over, - dead.

    • Still have 3yr warranty from date of purchase, not date of manufacture.

      • +1

Degraded capacity is hard to warranty.. batteries are a wear and tear item after all

        • I just got 2, manufacture date April 2021.

  • Bought a heap of these when they were $29 each

Reckon i can borrow them to power my DeLorean to go back in time and get some?
Ill buy you a bitcoin pre boom while im back there.

  • Anyone successfully use a ozito to ryobi battery converter?
    My ryobi battery just died

    • +1

afaik there are a few on ebay.
Note that you will need to get an ozito charger as well. Cause the adaptors are not designed to charge the batteries

    • aren't there ryobi battery knock-offs on ebay?

  • Great deal but I don't have a stab-proof vest for visiting Franga

  • They are in all stores. They are in special packaging not the standard ones on the shelves!

    • Their in most stores $48 but it’s listed as promo item if u get the right person you should be able to get them for $20

      • Can you expand on this? how can you get them for $20?

        • Ask at the tool shop

          • @Dex38313: For $20 off or just for $20? And what would be the question to ask?

            • @some_one_some_where: $20 walk away price just ask

              • @Dex38313: Tried my local over the phone. No luck. :(
They said it just arrived 3 days back and no more discounts.

                • +1

@randombrick: lol what did you expect?

                • @randombrick: Tried instore, they had 6, lady was bit perplexed by my questions. Did not entertain any discounts. So did just buy one at advertised $48. Also discussed it being discounted because of Aldi etc etc but she had no idea and didn't believe me.

                  • @basshunter53: you didn't wink and sweet-talk her enough …

                    • @c64: Apparently haha.. yea i met my match with her. Might need to try another store nearby me.

  • They’re now showing on their website, as in-store only

    • Actually looks like you are right, they have updated the website to properly show that the stock is available. Showing as available at two stores near me in north QLD. This morning it didn't.

      • Better value & more user friendly to buy 2x 2.5ah batteries & chargers, then sell the chargers

        • Maybe, but what if you want to use the 2x 18v mower down the line?

          • @basshunter53: Fair enough. 2x 2.5ah batteries would die in 10 minutes.
It’s my first Ozito cordless purchase. I only bought in because Ryobi still don’t offer a brushless rotary hammer, although it may be coming shortly because they have started releasing the HP range of cordless tools, which the rotary hammer is one of in the USA

          • @basshunter53: Yep, that's my use case currently. I bought the 2x18v chainsaw.

Originally I picked up the 2x2.5ah deal but would probably prefer having 2x4Ah

            • +1

@randombrick: Bear in mind the 2.5Ah battery can only supply half the power and your tools like the chainsaw, impact driver etc will have less power and cut out under small loads. With 4ah you have twice as much power (two rows of 18650 battery cells in parallel) and will last probably 4x longer in high load tools.

Go 2.5ah if you want light weight low power, eg drill.

              • @TRRR: @TRRR - I agree. I ordered and picked up 2 4Ah batteries this arvo.

  • As mentioned by others, these are in stock on the website now. I would recommend doing a C&C from there if possible.

I was in my local on the weekend and asked, and got told nup, theres none, no stock anywhere, don't bother trying. Did a C&C the next day and picked up two no worries.

  • just got one from Alexandria for the price
looked like at least another 4 on display.
