    What's Australian about this? It's a rebranded Chinese product. Your website address is a block of apartments, highly doubt you're manufacturing them on the kitchen table.

    Also no Regulatory Compliance Mark? Clearly not Australian at all.

      The Ozbargain rep seems pretty Aussie (too right!), fair cop to the rebadging v manufacturing thing though

      We are an Australian Brand and registered business. GaN Chip manufacturer's are limited. Same GaN Chips are used by many manufacturers so the end products look & perform identical too. For instance, Belkin & Alogic 68W chargers, Cheotech & Ravpower 65W chargers. Not only MINIX (Chinese), MoPoint(US), Hypershop(US) and many others use the same GaN chip as us. All of them manufactured in China.

      • Many Australians setup a company, import mass produced OEM products from China with their company name slapped on it for half/quarter/tenth the price and attempt to resell them for profit. In fact it happens all around the world. Nothing about this is 'Proudly Australian' or unique. It's 90% of eBay.

          We are proud that we are an Australian business taking an initiative to make top product available locally :) Sooner or later you will have a different opinion about Zyron for sure mate :)

        When will you be Australian compliant?

        • Probably a month mate. Next batch of Powerpod-66 will be with RCM certification.

          • @ibelievesyd: Isn’t it illegal to import into AU without the RCM? In fact you can’t import into AU without compliance.

            Edit: I purchased 2 units few weeks back and am very happy with the form factor and performance.

      • Same GaN Chips are used by many manufacturers

        This is not about internal components, the entire product is identical to other products ie rebadged.

        You are not manufacturing.

          Mate if you say that Belkin and Alogic, Ravpower and Cheotech, MININX/Hypershop/MoPoint everyone rebadges then sure we will agree with you.

          • +4

            @ibelievesyd: Mate. Mate. Mate. Mate.

          • +1

            @ibelievesyd:

            everyone rebadges

            Yeah this point's been made several times now.

            Rebadging's no big issue. Calling yourself a manufacturer when all you do is put your brand on an existing product is misleading marketing spin.

            • @0jay: The question is do they design the device and got it manufactured elsewhere.

              • @cheach: No, that's not the question - if they did then they're selling their design to at least 2 other vendors.

    • You can find some Australia made and stick to it. Just like new cars.
