Korean grey import by the looks (Note: Amazon is not the seller)

    • +1

Yes, and for grey import it's cheaper elsewhere e.g. Kogan $119.

    • Yep, seems like false advertising and you wonder how Amazon haven't removed the listing.

      • The model number (SM-R175NZKAASA) is the same as what is sold by Samsung Australia, what makes it a Korean model?

        • Read the reviews.

"Beware. These were listed as being Australian stock with Australian part number, but they were in fact grey imports with Korean part numbers."
"The description of these buds states the manufacturer is Samsung Electronics Australia PTY LTD, however when mine arrived the writing on the back wasn't in English"
"False advertising - grey import, not Australia stock"

@swimmingtoad: You could have told me the answer without downvoting lol

          • @swimmingtoad: Mine is all English box art. All English docs.
Says made in Vietnam. Just the same as my phone was and my wife buds live were.

            SM-R175NZKAMEA is the model number.

            • @Pud3000: Looks to be the Asian, Middle East and African region version.

  • Mine lasted a month before they stopped charging. Was a gift so i didnt have receipts to take it back

Looks like a grey import and as such found cheaper elsewhere.
Also downvoting to alert people before purchase thinking it is an Au stock.

The model number is same as on Office works website. Sure candidate for a price beat guarantee from office works if anyone is in the market.

    • My mate managed to match it but I've tried twice and no luck. Both times the make up any excuse not to

    • I called officeworks this morning and they said they will not match online only stores

      • I would say it will come down to who you get to talk to. @grook above mentions that his mate was able to get it but not him.

Give it a try. Don't have anything to loose.

        As per their policy -
        https://www.officeworks.com.au/information/policies/price-be…

        What about online stores?
Our Price Beat Guarantee includes products you find online - as long as the item is identical and in stock. When assessing the PBG from online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery to your location (if any). If the identical, in stock product can be purchased and delivered to your location via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%.

For further information please visit your local Officeworks store and they will be able to assist you with your query.

    • I've price matched successfully last week calling the 1300 number. The stock is grey from them BUT the it number is the Aussie one, same as OW

  • +1

I have just successfully got it price matched at Officeworks. I guess it depends on the operator you get and how accommodating they are.

  • Could someone outline what is wrong with grey imports?

    • Misrepresentation.
The listing is the au model number. The actual item is either middle eastern ( the one I got) or South Korea. Cheaper elsewhere if you're looking for grey imports.
