  • this looks like a good deal, with i7 quad core at this price

    • Looks like cash back ends today.

  • arrandale?

    • Sandy Bridge.

  • Good luck with that.

I ordered an expensive laptop online from Centrecom and couldn't get a reply, either by phone or by email, about whether they genuinely had stock of the item (site said they did but to check) and when they would send it after they received EFT payment.

    Gave up in the end.

Mixed comments about them on Whirlpool.

In shop is apparently OK, depending on which shop, but online is hopeless.

    Be warned…>>
    "LENOVO CASH BACK PROMOTION:
    Offer period : 1st December 2011 until 31st January 2012"
+ 7 days from the sale date by the look of it.

… and if they are slack about supply then the CB sweetener is history.

Peronally I feel that if a retailer advertises a product as a special (anywhere) and uses a cash back offer as an enticement then the retailer should guarantee the cashback themselves or process the cashback on behalf of the purchaser. After all, they clearly offer the product at that price.

  • doesn't matter anymore, 'Product sold out, unavailable or discontinued!'

  • product sold out :(

  • i dont know much about computers but am i wrong in thinking that this Acer Aspire AS5755G-2634G75M for $699 after cash back, on the first page has better specs when taking the graphics card into consideration.

well…ACER is the worst brand in computer,
most of their series(not all) are built cheap to lure customer eyesball
but they are easily broke/over heated/problems & more!

I would say avoid at all cost.

      • when was the last time you bought an acer ?? May be 5 years ago was a different story but I bet the timeline series is quite good if not the best

  • Bugger. Was tempted.
