These are handy for sim slutting between the Kogan 60GB 90 day plan $14.90.

  • +1

Option 4 (2 Months 160GB) - Activate on the $45 80GB per month plan, second month pay extra 25 plus 20 from referral.
After that transfer all data to your family members

    • +2

Would be easier to just buy 160gb data off the forums for about $50 Vs $47.50 and setting up a new account.

  • +2

I purchased one of these from Officeworks yesterday for the same price.

    • Thanks, added link to the deal.

  • Is OzBargain Belong pool working again? Last year it wasn't. So wondering because I don't know anyone that I can grab a referral from

    • +2

      Pmed!
There's quite a few inactive codes attached to users who have since moved away from Belong…

    • Working. I updated mine regularly

    • FWIW I'm still an active account holder for both mobile and broadband services.

    • Referral codes gets expired pretty quickly so they should mostly work as expected.

    • It's active, at least mine is

  • Just double checking you can't port into JB deal if you are on Belong right?

  • How do I add my referral code to Ozbargain Belong Pool? Thanks.

  • why this is not more popular than the coles $99 SIM deal?
isnt this cheaper and more GB?

    • +1

It's not cheaper if you're thinking of just sitting on the $15 plan after the starter pack & referral credit has run out. But sim slutting is definitely cheaper with a lot more data.

I was with Belong before using the $25 (10G plan) Pre-paid SIM, and then switched to Kogan 90 days deal. Now I want to switch back to Belong again using another $25 Starter Pack. Can I use the same email and login as last time, or do I have to pretend to be a "new customer" and use a different email?

I did some more reading and it turns out you can use your existing account but if you do, you cannot use a referral code to get $20 credit. So looks like I will need to set up a new account.

    • +1

Yeah from my experience you need to change your email in order for the referral code to work.

      • +1

Returning to Belong a few days ago using the same email, 3 attempted codes (including one from a real friend with an active Belong mobile service) were all invalid. I messaged support to ask what to do. They responded within an hour. Said I could complete porting without referral code and ask for MANUAL credit later. They wanted my referrer's number, name, referral code and service activation date. I sent the 4 bits of information in and got the credits on both referrer and referee sides first thing next morning.

  • OP. I have a referral code. Do I still have to be with Belong for another person to use my code?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • Whatabout I use same name and details but different email. Would belong detect me as same user?

        • +1

No, it will create a new account this way.

  • Does this stack/ qualify for Coles 'spend x for x flybuys points' offer?

  • +1

Thanks OP! Grabbed one from woolworths today, activated successfully and got a referral code. Hope someone will click on mine soon :)

    • I got a code how can I add it on the OzBargain Belong pool?

  • Anyone know how long you have to be away from Belong before you can return? I currently have an ongoing service with Belong and another that I am looking at transferring out. I'd be looking at transferring this second service back to Belong in 28 days time so want to know if that would be possible.

    • +1

I recently did a port-in/port-out for a family member with a 30 day gap, same ID but new e-mail account used (for another referral) with no problems.

  • Hello OP. I got a referral code. How can I add it to OzBargain Belong pool?

    • Go to - My Account - Settings - Referrals.

  • Can anyone tell me if the $22.50 starter kit will last for 365 days? Basically need some simcards for the oldies who are low data / voice users.

    • +1

No it will only last as long as one of the 3 options you choose in the description. After that the minimum monthly plan is $15.

Better to buy a 12 month plan like the $89 Catch deal.

  • With Option 2 - I'll have $10 remaining credit which can be put towards the 4th Month (plus pay $5 balance) which is effectively 4 months for $27.50? $6.875/pm

  • Are these now full price again at officeworks?

  • Hey guys, how do we add someone's referral code when registering to get the $20 credit? Just got my SIM card and activating now. TIA.

    • You input the code at the end of the activation process.

      • After the page were one adds there payment details, I'm a bit worried going pass this point and there won't be a page too add thr referal code lol

        • I know, but it's definitely there.

          • @Reveen: Yupz on next page, they really want you to belong don't they lolz

Umm learnt something new, one can port a number from one person too another now that they use OTP to verify porting

  • I'm coming up to 1 year with Belong. Did the 80GB trick.

So what is the best thing to do now to get another 80GB for the year? Do the same thing, buy $45 for the next two months then switch back to the lowest plan for the next 10 months?

But looks like if I transfer from from the $10/month plan I won't be able to go on it and will be forced to go on the $15/month plan.

    Thanks!

    • Which 80GB pack is that? This one can’t last that long, only 3 months. Or you mean the $80 credit pack that comes with the Broadband deal. With $100 credit (including referral bonus), it gives me 6 months til the end of year since they dropped that $10 plan.

      • I did 40GB + another 40GB over two months. Then 1GB for 10 months. It has been enough to last me the year.

  • Can anyone confirm if you sign up for one of these starter packs, can you gift the data straight away to someone else? If so, and then you cancel after 1 month, does the receiver of the gift keep all the data?

    • +1

Yes I've done this a couple of times to get my account more data. Usually let it go for another month and use the referral credit to get another few GB accross. They do not make it easy to cancel the burner account though, I think I had to call them to cancel it last time. It's a recurring bill not a PAYG sort of thing.
We wouldn't have to put them through this though if they just offered 80gb for $22.50 for existing customers every now and then…

      • It's very easy to cancel. Just send them a support message through your account. There is even directions on what to do within the app.

        How to cancel your service
To cancel your service, select create request, followed by manage my account then include the following information under describe your query:
A note saying you’d like to cancel your service
The mobile number of the service you wish to cancel

      • i have not had any problems cancelling any service so far. login to your account and there's an option to cancel.

  • Horrible website.

Trying to activate new sim just keeps getting error:

Something went wrong. Please try again.

    • Have you been with Belong before using the same email?

      • Different email, different account, same horrible website.
