      Hi GregFiona,

Please refer to the How It Works Video - Wyngle offers the chance to purchase any product listed for a single dollar. This means you can either have some fun and play your luck or purchase the Ratio number for a guaranteed discount.

In this example the price of the Azzaro Chrome Eau de Toilette 100mL is $49 at 1 in 2, so you can buy one and either pay $49 or $1 (a great saving). Or you can buy 2 and be guaranteed to get one for $1 (I'm sure you'll agree, still a great saving!)

      Kind Regards,

      Wyngle

      • Huh? You lost me in your second sentence…

        • +1

If you buy 1, you have a 50% chance of paying $1, 50% chance of paying $49.
If you buy 2, you will pay $50 total.
If you buy 3, you will pay either $51 or $99 - 50% chance of each scenario.
If you buy 4, you will pay $100 total.
          etc etc

No One is here to Play or Try their Luck. Its Simple Deal or No Deal. Its a No Deal

      • Then why is the price for two $98? Shouldn't it say $49? Why should we have to enter CC details to get true price?

      • In another words, its pretty much like a competition as youre not guaranteed to buy the item for $1.

Wasnt there a similar post by REP that was taken down for the same dodgy concept?

        • Well, you are guaranteed (according to http://www.wyngle.com.au/how-it-works--a1 and https://www.wyngle.com.au/faq--a15) to get every nth item (in this case, every 2nd item) for $1.

So if you buy 2, you will pay only $1 for one of them.

Now as a business model, and as a checkout process - its very confusing. The concept is clever - the implementation is atrocious (the checkout process could, at the very least, show the maximum and minimum you will be paying).

Wyngle is an entirely new concept, a World first Australian Innovation. It is still very early days for us and we are continuing to improve.

As we grow Wyngle will continue to work hard on bringing you stronger and stronger offerings with more clarity, our system is completely fair and is designed to make the shopping experience a little more fun and exciting.

          Kind Regards,

          Wyngle

        • Imo, even though you guarantee us that the 2nd item will be $1, not being able to see the actual final price clearly written at checkout is something that I think most people would be worried about and would stop them from going further, I know I would.

          Interesting concept, but confusing.

designed to make the shopping experience a little more fun and exciting.

          You mean the gambling feeling?
          KISS indeed.
          My 2 cents.

        • Hi JLove,

The true value of the goods is displayed because if you knew you were getting it for $1 you'd never buy unless it said $1, hardly fair on the brands and companies who have worked so hard to promote the value in their goods. We understand that it may be a little confusing but as mentioned we are very new and the first of our kind, it takes time to get the message right and develop the site to reflect that message.

The concept is still an exciting one that offers a fair chance and guarantee to save, we don't consider ourselves to be gambling. With gambling it is more likely that you will end up with nothing, on Wyngle you always receive the goods you buy and you'll never pay more than the Fair Market Price of those goods. In many cases we are actually the cheapest when you consider the shipping costs.

          Kind Regards,

          Wyngle

      • Please refer to the "How many negative votes you get" and you'll realize how fun your business model is!

  • This is a stupid concept.

  • Didnt you try posting here before? And fail miserably?

    • they did - but that was not a one in 2
if they will honour what they say they will honour, this is a guarenteed deal - ie 2 for 50 bucks
I suppose we should actually vote on the merits of that actual deal. (not on the concept for the rest of the website)

  • When you select 2 items it comes up as $98. Your random lottery or whatever the hell it is, is stupid. From a quick search it seems like a pretty good deal getting the 2nd one for $1 if the first is $48.

However because your website, explanations, pricing, promotion, everything is ridiculous you get a super-neg.

    • From a quick search it seems like a pretty good deal getting the 2nd one for $1 if the first is $48.

Don't be so sure! I have this (got it as a present) and it is disgusting! :P

    Hi All,

Wyngle offers premium branded products at the fair market price with the chance to pay $1.

The dollar items are offered sequentially not randomly so if the Ratio is 1 in 2 and you buy two you are guaranteed to get a $1 item. It is quite simple, just new.

The model has been designed to help bring value back into the market. Getting huge discounts is great, but the risk is that it is often related to poor service, poor value, fake items and sometimes goods that don't work or don't arrive? These heavy discounts also result in the loss of Australian jobs as margins become unsustainable for many business to compete, not great for the economy!

Wyngle only offers 100% authentic goods at reasonable prices with the chance to pay a dollar. It may not be for everyone, but we do offer a great opportunity to save and the guarantee of saving when you club together with friends or buy in bulk.

Our contact details are on the site and we are always happy to chat and learn from our customers.

    Kind Regards,

    Wyngle

    • Instead of giving us a marketing spiel, how about explaining the process.

I find your concept interesting but your lack of explaining it concerning.

      If I understand correctly:

You buy 2 perfumes and on the checkout page it will say $98. In actuality, after you click the confirm payment button, it processes the order, then a short time later emails you with an adjusted invoice of only $50. Bottomline is that checkout says the higher price but you will get the lower price after submitting. This, I assume, is so that people just don't keep refreshing the checkout until $1 comes up.

      • So answer me this - what's so hard to program the shopping cart to detect that if 2 items in it, then change the price to x?

Please note - none of my details should be necessary to see the final price of my order.

        • From what I understand, if someone orders right before you, and they paid $49 for their perfume, and you only order 1, you can get your perfume for $1. If the next person after you orders 1, it will be $49.

So I don't think it's a programming thing. It sounds like a preventive measure for people to not game the system. If I wanted that $1 perfume, I could just refresh until it shows $1. I suppose they could make an exception if ratio = quantity ordered but then the gimic of chance buying is removed.

      • Hi Neil,

As mentioned before we are brand new and keen to improve.

The checkout page always displays the full value of the goods, this is because in many cases people are adding multiple items with different ratios. As you can imagine the checkout page would look rather complicated with all the possible variations.

So that you understand the process more clearly the $1 item is allocated sequentially and so in this example:

        Item cost: $49
        Ratio: 1 in 2

        Purchase 1 - $49
        Purchase 2 - $1
        Purchase 3 - $49
        Purchase 4 - $1
        and so on…

This is actually quite clever because it allows you to buy one and have a little fun (either pay the Fair Market Price or $1, practically 100% off). Buy two and be guaranteed one for $1 (guaranteed 50% off), or 3 and and either get 33% off or 66% off.

As you can see it does off some attractive ways to save without hurting the industry or damaging the products price point. This therefore enables us to get great offers to you in full support of the brands and suppliers involved.

        Kind Regards,

        Wyngle

Maybe it's fun for you, but not for the buyer m8! IMHO you could do much better if you had a fixed buy1get2 price!

  • completely unrelated, but i paid $29.95 for one bottle at a store, so 2 for $59.80. slighty more but no game of chance.
