As aventus (inspired) fragrance would it be better of getting Nut Club (CDNIM) as its the same price? I know CDNIM has that harsh opening but dries down well apparently….

I prefer Mont Blan Explorer. CDNIM definitely performs better but is too harsh and synthetic.
People complain about longevity of Mont Blanc Explorer but it lasts 4-5 hours for me. YMMV
Try apply some non scented moisturiser prior to applying. I thought it would be negligible but I get noticeably way more mileage out of my edps and perfume oils now

Palmer's Shea Formula Raw Shea Body Lotion has worked very well for this exact reason. Of course, apply to pulse points and avoid directly under your nose as this can lead to becoming nose blind.

Maybe people don't spray enough. If it's EDP I would do at least 4-6 sprays, EDP 2

Yeah I bought into the hype too and got punched in the face with the overpowering synthetic smell.
Currently letting it macerate in my wardrobe but I doubt it will improve.
@Robot JP: Yeah it's annoying. Been burnt 3 times with these cheapies now. Two Armaf and that $15 Nautica one. About $100 all up but still a waste. Rather spend $70 for the decent ones at CW like Versace Eau Fraiche.
Get the CDNIM EDP or Pure Parfum or Limited edition, expensive but worth it.
CDNIM LE is god tier.
Don't need anything else.
I've had CDNIM for years. You may need to walk away from yourself when first applying but longevity wise, despite being EFT, I was getting 10hr+ on my skin/clothes.
Way back when Creed was rare as hens teeth and under lock and key - I tried Adventus and some other one. About $800 for the two at that time - they didn't even last 4hr!

mont blanc smells better but only lasts 2-3hrs for me. I've also tried the other meme Afnan supremacy collectors edition and it smells different, not worse but I prefer mont blanc in my opinion. If mont blanc explorer lasted 5-6hrs it'd be perfect

Definitely smell it first. This should absolutely not be a blind buy whatsoever. Not my style of fragrance at all. If you wanna smell like a middle aged ethnic male, this is the right one for you.
Myer only price match their own sister company david jones, don't bother. i only go to Myers to smell new fragrances then buy them at chemist warehouse etc lol

i think the rule of thumb is once opened or cap can last a few years, although if cap is left off it can go bad fasterr.
Keep out of sunlight - alcohol not stable in itself but will last a few years no prob.
I've a bottle of EDP original YSL M7 that I don't really dig bought around 2002 (original brown bottle) and it's still fine. Always capped and kept in dark cupboards. Apparently hard to get now and worth a bit is my understanding.
3-5 years. Check the date using the code (usually at the bottom) and google. They can go off even if never opened.
Especially nowadays as most brands have moved to synthetic ingredients. New formulations are all lab magic.
Would've expected synthetic ingredients to have longer lifespan than natural

They buy in very large quantities. Much larger than Myer and David Jones.
You can use CheckFresh to find the production date using the serial.
Sometimes not entirely accurate as some manufacturers recycle batch numbers but most of my ChemistWarehouse frags were produced within 8 months of purchase date

Had this and CDNIM. Ended up selling this one and kept CDNIM. Both quite similar after the dry down but CDNIM lasts longer on me. However, this scent profile isn't my favourite.
I got Armaf Club De Nuit Sillage when it was $40 and it's nothing like it, much prefer MB. The sillage is just musky and odd. Perhaps slightly different to the one you're talking about.
Completely different scent, Sillage is a dupe of Creed Silver Mountain Water. A very close copy (I couldn't tell the difference on each arm after 20 mins) that performs better.

I actually really like Sillage ..I have SMW and I can't tell the difference between them. Sillage actually lasts longer so buying SMW is mute

So I went to smell this and it is a solid pass from me, it smells way too much like my uncle's aftershave. Think of a middle aged European or middle eastern man with plenty of chest hair and gold chains. This is pretty much it. Very overhyped and all it's worth tbh. I don't know who in their right mind would pay full price for this. In all fairness though, this is coming from someone who owns luxury perfumes so take that as you will.
I like it, don't want all sweet citrus boss and Hugo variations. Those aren't always great for winter.

Creed Aventus runs rings around this. People are delusional calling this the Aventus dupe. Is it similar? Sure, but you can't say you're better off buying this instead when it isn't even the same scent. As for Gucci Envy, there are but not in Australia. DUA Covet and Envy of Fomo.
