  • I think the bonus cashback has expired.

    • Thanks I’ll update it, poor advertising from tgg, can try your luck take a screen shot it was advertised at time of purchase

  • Damn that's a good price for the G1.

Edit: Ah yep, as ttkc said the bonus cashback had expired.

  • If bonus hadn't expired, this would be pretty good. But I'll wait till OLED evo trickles down to the C series.

    • It already has. First batch was non evo. Lg have said all newer panels will be evo from now

      • Have you got a link? I saw the video from HDTV test with the media release from lg about changing the id.

Had a search, you mean just the panels. The actual Evo usage isn't in the C series yet. I think he was saying he'll wait a year.

They've just restricted the LG C1 via firmware to not get the extra brightness. Lots of talks on forums and YouTube on how to disable it. Stop the FOMO, keep it classy and others have made videos about it

  • and 200 cashback as eftpos?

Whelp I just paid $4500 3 weeks ago with HN. TVs not even expected to arrive for another 4 weeks tho!

    • -1

Paying top dollar for a new model from HN with no stock for a month ouch 😬

      • -4

paying money for a tv ouch 😬

  • Does anyone think the price will drop abit more if they have an eofy sale?

    • I've got my fingers crossed for it.

  • -7

That's a lot for a 65inch, the Hisense dual cell is less than half the price with almost as good black levels and far better contrast and colors

    • +3

Look, normally these things aren't completely black and white.

      Except for OLEDs, which are.

      • +3

If your OLED is only black and white, maybe should have gone for a better model

      • Well OLEDs can't do perfect whites because of the WRGB pixel. Blue pixel pushes too much so it can never be absolute unless they change the technology

@mlburnian, have a look at the picture in the above link.

you see the cheetah… That's OLED

  • -2

Ratio of cheetah to greyhounds looks about right considering the price difference bw Oled and Hisense dual cell

I value everyone's opinion and I respect your view but If price is really important for you then you can get a "good" TV with half price of the Hisense which will do the job.

OLED is quality. It is a different world. You will understand us when you have one.

is BMW/Mercedes more expensive then Holden or Mazda? yes they are. Can Holden or Mazda take you to from A to B? yes they can if that's the only matter for you. 20 years old car can do too.

Not sure if you know this url https://www.rtings.com/tv please check here. They provide great details about many TV brands and models. Have a look at test that they apply to each TV that they test. I don't buy TV without checking here. They also provide setting suggestions for some models.

    • Lol. If you click your link and click on "best TV's - the no 1 option is an LG OLED.

      • you mean that website is bias?

        • Are you confused or something? You say to check that website, then claim it has bias?

    • I don't disagree, Oled looks the best. But for this sort of price, I would want a 75inch or bigger. 65inch is too small especially with movie aspect ratios.

      • Exactly. at the end it comes down to a personal decision and budget. I would love to have 83" OLED but I don't have such money so sticked to 55" :)

      Tried Hisense, never again
