  Rep can you confirm that this works with Nintendo Switch in dock mode? Looking to replace original switch dock but another charger I purchased gives me an error message and tells me to use original power supply. Looks like I only need 18w but can you confirm?

    Not sure where you got 18w from, but nintendo switch dock mode requires 15V/2.6A. Safest one to get is 45W that can support 15V/2.6A.

      Cheers for the quick reply yeah thats why I am confused and often I wasn't sure if people were just talking about charging switch or running it in dock mode at the same time.

      Another page had given me this information "the dock is supplied an input energy rate of 15V at 2.6A (39 watts) from the AC adapter, but the dock's output rate is only 15V at 1.2A (18 watts). This means the Nintendo Switch receives 18W of power from the dock, not the whole 39W of power that's pushed from the AC adapter"

        It doesn't matter what the dock's output rate is. The charger you buy needs to be able to support the input rate. How the dock distribute the power is irrelevant to the charger. The dock has additional usb ports which also needs to be powered by the dock.
