Ego Tools Bonus Battery Offer with $800+ Spend @ EGO Power Plus

110

The deal is back again. Free batteries when you spend over a certain amount.
I have enquired with EGO and they have advised they will not be selling any promotional packs till around September. So it is one or the other.
Perhaps find a buddy to buy with, if it gets you into the range or even the next range.

$800 spend for the 2.5Ah, sheesh. It was previously buy any 2 skins.
I cashed in on this in 2018 and the free battery died this year. Luckily, it was still covered via warranty and after jumping through some hoops (a stat dec), I received a replacement battery.

    • stat dec wtf

      • IKR! And this was for a promotional battery that THEY sent me directly, not some retailer. They asked me to state that I was claiming warranty on the battery they sent me even though I supplied full battery info like date of redemption, claim ID, serial number, etc.

It took me a month to find the time to see a JP to get the stat dec done, and only after that did they green light the warranty claim.

Talk about leaving a bad taste in your mouth.

        • Hey Martyroz, sorry to bother you, do you still own a koda16 (in package) and willing to sell it?
No idea how to privately message you about it sorry.

          • @Lorenzo M: Yeah, I do. I'd rather sell my Pro because I want the natural gas kit in the future (it's Koda16 only).
I see Koda16 is sold out and Pro is readily available. I highly recommend the Pro, it's fantastic.

            • @Martyroz: I do not have an open space, only a big deck with ceiling all over it.
Pro won't suit my needs :(

              • @Lorenzo M: I use my Pro with gas only and also under a ceiling. It's great!

                • @Martyroz: It's a gift for my girlfriend and design looks also plays a part.. Koda 16 is the one.
Hope I'll find one before her bday on the 29th of June
                  Thanks for the advice anyway

    That sucks.
The limits for getting the 5ah, 7.5 and 10 batteries used to be $200 lower at $1200, $1600 and $2000.
Harder to justify this time around.

Yeah they seem to be making these redemptions worse each time they run them, $800 a 2.5ah is a lot of kit to purchase for their smallest battery

Not worth it. Ego: if you're listening, try harder.

  • Awesome bit of kit though. I went full Ego in the last redemption deal and not looking back. Scored a 10ah and some other one in the process, can't recall size there was so many batteries with all the kits I got.

Same, I went 'near' full Ego last December (spent $2k?) and got 2 x 2.5ah batteries from promo.

      • Think I spent 2.7k or thereabouts.
        Ended up with
        2x 2.5ah
        2x 5ah
        1x 7.5ah
        1x 10ah

Use 3 currently and I figured with 10 year shelf life I'll use the the next 3 when the first batch inevitably die in first 5 years
