What more can I say other than this hasn't been at this price for quite a few months thanks to crypto mania

Stock level comes and goes. Not sure what's going on

    • It's Amazon UK

      • Title says AU

        • According to CamelCamelCamel it doesn't have any data from Amazon AU which leads me to believe that OP was mistaken about it being from AU

  • please aware of the warranty if it's an overseas model.

  • Looks like it's gone. Can add to cart, could checkout, it ended up in cancelled orders

  • At that price, it would have been snapped-up in bulk by people.

Buy at $350, sell for $500+. The 10TB WD units I got for $250 are now closer to $400.

I hope the arse falls out of crypto!!

      You can say that again

Got this WD Black 12TB last year for under $400. Someone wants over$1k for it. What a rip off

    • Don't pick on all crypto, it's just Chia that screwed drive prices. And chia is already dead for anyone who doesn't have tons of drives anyways. There's no real profit in it.

      • +1

Well … all crypto isn't screwing HDD prices, that's true, but most are screwing with other prices …

        • Sure enough, and that's being solved… GPUs are coming back into stock, Eth2.0 will kill most GPU mining, etc.

Crypto will not go away so simply hating it doesn't really do much. It's not easy to kill software.

It might fade into the background noise and be just another set of stocks/beanie babies/tulips, though. I think that's the best we can all hope for.

          • @Zorlin:

Crypto will not go away so simply hating it doesn't really do much.

Hoping the arse falls out of it is different to hating on it, or hoping it'll go away.

You're right, in that it's highly unlikely crypto will die, but if the arse falls out of it, people will stop hoarding the equipment needed to mine.

  • Did anyone manage to get any?

I wasn't after any but got a camelcamelcamel alert

    • And that'd be why they were snapped-up so quick. Quick notifications of a bargain.

not as good as this deal.

    • @sgtubaby nice find

    • is it shuckable?

      • +1

Yes it’s an easy shuck without breaking the enclosure.

There is a limit of 2 per customer though.

    • Smr?

    • Note these might not come with AU plugs. But, I recently had two 8tb Backup Plus Hubs (S/N: NA9RGJT3) come in from the UK, and they only had the EU and UK pin slot ins. I got on live chat to Seagate and they are sending out the AU ones free for the two units.

    • Thanks good find..

Lowest on the camelcamelcamel graph is $340 anyway.. can wait.
