  • Projectors are so awesome…. I don’t have TV

  • This page has good comparison between this and the LSP9T.
    https://seekingtech.com/samsung-4k-short-throw-laser-project…

  • Good deal, last year got a Fengmi 4K UST projector + XY 120 ALR screen for about $4K all up, 10% more for a Samsung and local warranty is definitely worth it.

  • How does the LSP7T compare with VAVA projector? What about the bonus screen and the elitescreen CLR series? Any comment is much appreciated.

  • Good deal with the bonus screen, for comparison the projector alone is $4,049 on the Samsung EPP store.

    • Similar screen size is $1200 on Ali.

    • The bonus screen is offered on the Samsung EPP as well.

Correction. It's an Atmos soundbar worth ~$1,400

      • Soundbar can't project screen.

    • Can everyone buy from EPP store?

      • +1

As long as you have an .edu email.

        • I do .edu.au. It didn’t work when I wanted to sign up.

    • I'm in the samsung government portal and I see $4274 for the projector.

  • Can the screen be rolled?

Trying to work out the best way to mount it living in a rental

    • Nah, these screens have hard frames and are spring stretched so cannot be rolled up once installed

It's actually not too difficult to hang if you have a big enough wall, but I guess in a rental getting it out in the future when moving would be a problem

    • Some chinese company (Alincoo) recently released a magnetic ALR screen that works for both laser projectors and long throws. Best of all, it's Fresnel material which are usually a fixed type screen and very hard material but somehow they've managed to make it rollable.

Perfect for renters as you don't need to drill any holes! I am considering one…

  • Is it possible to mount or attach the screen to window frames? I have my TV in front of the window and wondering if it can be mounted on the window somehow.

The model only has SDR output

Although not UST, the new XGIMI Horizon pro weems to be a better option ($2,300) with AU warranty and HDR support.

    https://au.xgimi.com/products/horizon-series-4

And it does not require an expensive UST ALR screen. Standard ALR screen will be sufficient.

    • Good comment, although I have no idea of what is UST and ALR….

      • Ultra short throw
        Ambient light rejecting

    • +1

I think it's still HDR to some degree according to the specs, but it doesn't do HDR10+ (or Dolby Vision)

      • +1

LSP9T has HDR support, not LSP7T

LSP7T only decodes HDR signals and outputs in SDR

  • Damn.. that sure is a good deal.. for a UST that is.. this unit is class leading and the 120 inch ALR screen at that price is very good. Just the projector used to be way more expensive even 3 months back !! If you do not need a UST and have a dedicated room big enough to sit and watch the screen where you can control the light and looking for a large screen experience then this is too expensive.
