        @Nick K

Nah, only 65w TDP so the stock cooler that it comes with is fine unless you want to seriously overclock or want a quieter cooler option (or if you want RGB lights as part of your build)

  • Im running first gen Ryzen with B350 motherboard. Is it worth upgrading and do i need to upgrade motherboard too? Cheers.

    • B350 only supports up to the 3000 series. you need B450/B550.

  • Only 2 left, be quick if you want this!!!

    • Last one!!!

      • Weird, back to two…

        • Still saying 2 left. They probably have a lot more… it's a tactic many sellers use to get people to panic buy thinking they'll miss out if they don't buy right away.

          • @MiscOzB: Yes, I see. Though it might be to stop people from buying bulk also and hogging all the stock.

  • Tempted to get it's a good price, but 3600x still good

what're the chances that the 5600g will be significantly cheaper?

    • +1

Very little it is advertised it will be $259 USD so expecting somewhere near $400au

      • yeah makes sense; not worth waiting then

Yeh i was going to buy this cpu at the start of the year but they were all like $550 and the 5800x was sitting in the lower $600 range so just went for the upgrade but at this price its an amazing deal.

The RRP is only 40USD cheaper than the 5600X

Maybe a little cheaper but not significant enough to wait, especially if you need one. Though I am banking on it being just that little bit cheaper…

  • I've been monitoring posts about the 5600x for a few months now. This deal caused me to finally make the jump.

My 3570k has done well since 2012 however it's starting to struggle gaming these days :(. Hopefully I can get another 9+ years out of my new build.

    • In a similar situation and this looks might tempting. Which MB did you get to pair it with? B450/B550/X570?

B450 Tomahawk's are crazy cheap at around $120 but wondering if PCIE gen 4 is worth it on the B550/X570.

      • B550 Tomahawks are $155 delivered….. why try and save $30..

when the VRM is so much better on the B550 version…

        Have a halok at the comparsions between the B350 / B450 and / B550
