    Anyone had any experience with Hitachi drives?

    I've only had good experience with WD, Seagate and so far with Silicon Power. I've stayed away from Samsung which tends to break.

      The Hitachi drive in my 500GB Lacie die exactly one month after warranty (13 months) Lucky I didnt have any important data on it. I would avoid, google search also shows Hitachi 2.5" wit high failure rates

    Samsung laptop has very limited specs and limited options to upgrade. Ie. ram only supports 1 dimm slot. If u wanted to upgrade to 8gb Ud have to replace the original stick.
