Grant Burge Premium Cuvee Sparkling White 750ml $5 @ First Choice Liquor (Selected Stores/States)

260

There seems to be a bit of a discount to be had on Grant Burge sparkling white wine atm and this is the best price that I have found. It's also the cheapest I have ever seen it.

Normally $20, my missus would usually get this at around $15 and tear my arm off at $12. We have seen it lower than that on occasion at Dan's. It is currently $9.50 a bottle when purchasing six via the Vintage Cellars website.

Plenty of cases are available at Ringwood, VIC.

EDIT: Also seen at Capalapa, QLD and at Midland, WA. Plus it seems to be available for delivery in most states/territories.

Sure, it's not a wine that's going to keep the French fizzy factories up at night but it is a decent quaffer to enjoy while stocking up for the next lockdown.

From the maker's website, if you are into this kind of thing:

Tinged with copper hues, the wine exhibits a delightful biscuit-like nose combined with ripe strawberry and peach characters. The palate is rich and generous with a real vitality that’s heightened by the creamy mouthfeel.

No mention of smelling like tradies socks or toxicity, which is good.

  • Is grant Burge one of the Chinese owned wineries now?

  • Dumb question - is this sparkling white, red or rosé? Just questioning because of the red foil.

    • White

    • Sparkling white. The red foil is there to look nice. I was probably a bit flippant in the OP, it's a nice drop IMO, I just prefer a prosecco, which is usually a bit drier. But at that price, nothing I have tasted comes close.

    • @gadgetguy Wasn't a dumb question until I edited the deal 😉

… a lotta cheap hooch coming through Ringers lately

  • $5 for a vivino 3.6 Grant Burge?
    can't complain with that.

  • Good Deal

  • Not on their website so guess they're not stocking it anymore

  • The more you drink, the more you save

  • Everything looks betterrrr after a few.

  • Wedding sorted.

    • Will check in Brisbane

  • Thanks OP.

Bought the last six bottles from the Midland, WA store earlier today.

They also had the normally $20, New Zealand, curious kiwi 2018 Pinot Noir 750ml for $5. (No link as it doesn't show up on the website.) A little bit light, with not a lot of earthiness for a Pinot Noir, but can't really complain at this price.
