LG UltraGear 34GN850 34" 144hz UWQHD Nano IPS Gaming Monitor $1399 (Was $1499) @ Mwave or Amazon AU

170

Probably the best 34" widescreen for gamers. Plenty of great reviews for it including Hardware Unboxed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vu0vpIe-dZA

The monitor was very hard to get for most of the pandemic, however with the newer 34GP850 coming with some improvements including a G-Sync module, it looks like MWave has gotten the green light to take $100 off the going rate of $1499/$1599 with most other stores yet to match it.

Does come with an sRGB clamp, plus gamer features like cheat crosshairs. If you want it, or wanted a second one then now would be the time to get it. The newer model is likely to see an increase of the 'standard' $1599 price due to having the G-Sync model added.

You can go bigger with the Dell AW3821DW, which adds size and resolution while using the LG NanoIPS panels, but no sRGB clamp and no gamer features. It is currently under $1600 during EOFY: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/630484

Does not include postage, I got ePacket to within Sydney quoted at $17.93 or would just pick up. Amazon also currently has stock at this price with free delivery.

Nice pickup - didn't check there. Outside of Sydney this could be your best option with free deliivery assuming stock holds. Edited OP.

  • It's not ultrawide but I love my Samsung G7 32". Highly recommend this monitor for gaming and day to day use. After playing on 240hz and the sweet colours, I can't look at anything else.

yea nah, QHD resolution at 32 inches just aint it, looks like dog shit browsing web and everyday tasks, gaming and videos will look fine. I have trouble adjusting to 27" QHD when coming from 27" 4k, can't even imagine 32" QHD

  • Really want to get the AW3821DW.

    • Got it last week, I had a 34inch Predator that only went to 90hz, The Res increase and screen frequency are a massive upgrade over the old 34"
The included postage was the big plus for me, regional delivery on a box the size of these monitors comes in is very expensive, Dells included freight saved me a heap.

Both mount on the $44 mount on Amazon.

      • That sounds very good!

  • I got the previous version 34GK950F first and I have to say this monitor was horrible and full of overshoot regardless of the overdrive settings!
I was lucky to get it returned and got the new 34gn850 instead and this one has been just perfect! No ghosting, overshoot…
I can highly recommend it however I wish it was actually bigger. You get use very quickly to the size.
I was coming from a 24" 1080p monitor and was hoping a huge jump in size but apart of the fact it's a wider, it's not that taller.

I wish I had bought a 38" but the price difference was too important a year ago. Nowadays with the AW3821DW if the panel is as good as the LG one, I would probably recommend the bigger screen. But the LG would be awesome for sure!
