KFC just launched their Pokemon like game, you can go hunting KFC prizes and most likely get a free ultimate box for your first time, some got slushies etc :)

The first bucket will be available around you with first play. Just pan your camera around to find the red big spot, tap tap tap it then spin spin spin for a free win ^_^
Can stack up to 3 prizes at a time and each will expire in 72hrs: gonna do lot of walking for free KFC prizes lol

    When will these fast food outlets learn to use scalability to cope with demand? Release an app plus frustrate your customers in the process as it doesn't work when there is high demand. Like no-one expected this? Really.

      To be fair, it could've been a similar situation like with the initial release of Pokemon GO where they did bother to upscale yet still had their expectations to be exceeded.

      The normal prize buckets are seperate from the store icons
      They have a timer next to the them, you’ll know when you see one

      Havent been able to log into the KFC App for over 4months now, it wont recognise its own code it sends you.

      Heaps of people on the Google app page seem to have the same issue

    The KFC app sets a 1 minute alarm on your phone that never goes off, if you're using Android. Just something to be aware of

      Maccas App did this on my Pixel 2 XL (on Android 11) and it drove me crazy.
      Found it at least temporarily stopped this if you "force stop" the app + turn off notifs.

      My OP9 hasn't experienced this on either app though

    The people who got it to load how long did you wait on the red screen of death? I have tried to load the app 10+ in the last 1-2 hours and I have never had the bucket map load (but I can see the location services being very solid so wonder what is going on). Very close to negging given the waste of time even though others seem to have gotten through

    I managed to score three prizes today morning around 9AM.
    Got two Frozen Drinks and one regular Chips.

    Now the app's OzBargained. Also, the T&Cs say you can play unlimited number of times (unlike Macca's Monopoly which was restricted to three times per day.) Also, there are way too many buckets floating around, so the app is most certainly going to be overloaded.

      These are the app / overloading issues. It was working fine in the morning. And it's working fine for few users. Just that its not able to take the load for everyone I guess. In the morning I could see like 20 buckets around me. Went and claimed 3 prizes. Stashed.

    At present it seems the map loads, buckets are shown but when the app signals to the server that you've 'found' a bucket, it errors (but shows nothing on screen)

        Normally I would push it, except KFC’s are franchised and I’m assuming head office is funding this. If I take a 15 piece from them, they aren’t going to get paid for it.

        I’ve emailed head office to clarify wtf is going on.

            @Clear: Yep didn’t do this for me. There is nothing in my cart, and no way to apparently get it back.

            Now it says I’ve already redeemed a prize even though I never confirmed an order, when I clicked redeem it took me to select my KFC, I selected my regular store, then it took me to their menu but nothing ever appeared in the cart.

                There is a green pop up banner that says I ‘have a reward that expires today, check it out on the barcode screen’

                      @Pelicannn: Check on your home screen if there is a card there saying you have won the 15pc's on mine it says "Expires today" so dont think you can redeem again tomrorow
