Ok, Im not sure about this one. The price is too good to be true so it's probably a pricing error.
I was looking for prices on a 4TB M2 SSD on amazon, and this came up as a recommendation. Obviously its not an M2, but damn its cheap. These were going for $1300 - $1500 here at local stores. It's out of stock, but they are taking back orders, and apparently dont charge you until it is available. I didnt really want a PCIe add-in card SSD, but ordered anyway because if it actually gets sent out, ill find a use for it.
Anyway, sorry if this isnt worth posting, but hell, maybe some one else is willing to take a gamble on one too

          • @JamieHUANG: no, return and refund plus $20 voucher. the AU customer service can do nothing but this.

        • +1

It's because Amazon AU uses Amazon US ASIN for the drives. Europe/Asia (i.e. Amazon Italy and Amazon Singapore) has the ASIN numbers backwards (so 1TB US ASIN is 4TB ASIN there while 4TB US ASIN is 1TB there), it's really a shitshow with whoever added the products to the system as Amazon uses ASIN for products and the description doesn't matter at all to them.

          • @Satirical: thanks for the explanation, this is the root cause of the error…
I got the return Auspost label and $20 voucher… the customer service cannot fix the problem but offer return label and refund+$20
so this bargain can be some free $20 voucher with some effort…

          • @Satirical: So does that mean buying the 1TB one will get us the 4TB ? haha

            • @stylsh: No, because you can't buy the 1TB Amazon UK version, only US.

    • Now a bit concern eh.

        I cancelled mine :(

        • Yeah I think I probably cancel mine then, too much hassle.

  • Some cancelled and now available again lol

  • Mine arrived recently, unfortunately it was the 1TB.

    • damn, seems to be the trend. I knew it was too good to be true. I just couldnt resist on taking the gamble with such a good pricing error/deal.

Hey and wtf, You get deliveries on a sunday? Benefits of living somewhere not as backwards as regional WA i guess :)

      • Haha, no I got this one a few days ago. Though Amazon's contractors do come on Sunday for next day delivery in Melb. I thought I'd just share for those holding out hope.

Edit: hardly worth the $20 voucher for the hassle.

      • Melbourne east myself, and I get amazon deliveries on weekends (sat and sunday, upto 8pm)

    • when you return it, do not forget to ask for $20 voucher.
it is part of their SOP now….

  • Mine just shipped today, doesnt look good (according to other posters), shall see what we get.

  • Available to back order again FYI
