Seems a little pricey, the mouse is solid, I am waiting for a deal to upgrade, but not sure about the keyboard being non mechanical. The mouse at RRP is $149 so you're paying $165 for the keyboard and palm rest (I wouldn't typically buy a palm rest).

The mouse is regularly around $100-$110. Keyboard has dropped to $150 before.

MX Master 3 was released in 2019. Isn't a new version around the corner?

Was offered this in-store over the weekend. Ended up buying MX KB standalone for $149 after I asked for best price at JBHIFi and bought the Mouse separately for $99 + delivery with SE sale. I didn't think I needed the pad so this worked out better for me but others might find the combo useful. Although I'm sure I was offered something beginning with a 2 for those who can be bothered trying in store.

You got the Mx keys for 149? Ripper deal mate, mind sending over the invoice (with your details blurred out) so I can try price matching?

        Hope this helps, good luck!

Ah I just gave them a call and they said it wouldn't be possible to match that. Some bs about how their cost is 170. They said I'd have to go to the same store you did. But thank you for sharing the receipt!

          • @Dealzallday: Ah bummer, such bs. My store was in VIC if that makes a difference.

            • @friednoodles88: I'm in NSW. Called up another jb to try mu luck and they said best they could do was 155 to price match Amazon, so I went for that. Thank you mate, you still helped me get the KB!

              • @Dealzallday: Nice one! Glad it worked out

              • @Dealzallday: Hmm when did Amazon have for $155? It is $179 as a 'pre-order' right now. I'd buy from JB if they would do $155 for me, then extra $25 off with LatitudePay. Otherwise might wait and hope for a deal on Prime day.

@friednoodles88: Hey, which store u shopped? I drop by to vic store and they reject it. Said it was promotion price.

    • If you dont mind, I would like the receipt too for price matching.. thanks mate.

    No deal

    That's between $280-310 delivered.

This combo at $314+ delivery is hardly a deal.

    • I get what ur saying but a deal is measured against the regular price - not the much less common discounted price - so in that sense it is in fact a deal.

      • Whilst I agree with your sentiment, the MX goes on sale at my aforementioned prices so often that OzBargainers should be measuring the worthiness of a deal compared to that discounted price - not RRP.

It's definitely not a "much less common discounted price".

Also, you only get the benefit of one unifying receiver in this bundle, which is worth $10-20 itself.

  • Got the keyboard for $160 with OW price match and the mouse comes down to around $99 often.

  • Have they fixed the issue with the gesture button causing premature failure of the mouse yet? I will not buy another one of these. Logitech isn't interested in helping customers due to this design defect. Easily fixed by opening it up (had to buy a $30 screwdriver set) but Logitech should be stepping up and replacing these mice despite being out of warranty.
Keyboard looks quite nice though. Can't understand why these things cost so much.

    • Happened to my MX Master 1, didn't realise there's an easy hardware fix for it.
My solution was to just disable the button in the Logi software which worked, but agree they should be doing something about it.

Very easy. Just gotta take it apart (you need this set: https://www.jaycar.com.au/48-piece-screwdriver-set-with-carr…) and loosen the screws where the gesture button is attached inside. I wasn't gonna spend another 100+ on the new version. Fixed for $30. This is a big problem with their mice but they refuse to acknowledge it, just garbage service and puts me off Logitech.

        • Cheers for the heads up.
That screwdriver set looks like a nice piece of kit, was considering the iFixit one but $13 shipping is rough.

        • Yep, I had to do the same thing with my original MX Master, except I had existing Torx screwdrivers. Pretty quick and easy fix; the only difficult thing was peeling the pads off the bottom of the mouse cleanly so they could be stuck back on afterwards.
I can't install the Logitech software on my work laptop, so it had to be a hardware solution for me!

  • Took 3 months between but I got my keyboard for $160 and mouse for $85 $90* this year.

  • Would love some advice/guidance/thoughts…

    What's the difference between a $100+ mouse and a cheap ebay/amazon one that's sub $30?

The Tecknet one I have has all the features I need:
    - Wheel
    - Buttons
    - Backward / Forward toggle
    - AA battery lasts for over 12 months

It's so cheap, I can throw it around without feeling guilty (or lose it).

Only problem is now, after 18 months the wheel is slipping.

I just use it for work, so no gaming.

Can someone help me justify buying a real brand like this one in the deal?

    Thanks.

Can switch between devices without re-pairing, for one. Great if you’re like me and have a personal laptop and a work laptop
