Operation time is way too short I think.
25 mins max would probably barely sufficient for a small place, and battery capacity can only go down overtime

We had the Dyson Dc45 with a claimed 20min runtime. Pretty much did the whole house when the battery low light started to flash.

how old was the dyson when you did that?
maybe dyson uses higher quality batteries, which i doubt we could expect aldi's stuff to have the same level of quality as the dyson ones.

but my point is, if there are even cheaper vacuum cleaner out there with comparable or better suction and up to 60 mins runtime, it wouldn't make much sense (at least for me) that ppl will choose this aldi one.
battery capacity will always go down, one year later that 25 mins max operation would probably become 15-20 mins, and so forth.

        • If you have house that takes "up to 60 minutes" to clean you're at a very wrong forum my friend.

Also… how do you think Chinese can do it for $150 but not Dyson for $500?

"Same level of quality as a Dyson"…hahaha .. Dyson are made crap, with crap. Marketing genius…that's it. Aldi drill batteries use good quality lithium cells, hopefully these use the same.

@tunzafun001: did your previous Dyson do bad things to you?

            • @andresampras: I've commented on other Dyson posts on repairs I've done on Dysons. Crap like plastic cogs just glued to smooth metal shafts in power heads (which fail in no time), intake tubes at one end, or restricted. Plastic everywhere. Sir James is a genius for selling this crap…at a premium price…worthy of a knight hood.

          • @tunzafun001: astute very astute - what did you think of the cpap saga?

10mins running time (8 with the motorised brush) and 4.5hrs charging time?! Doesn't sound that good

    • Agreed. Buy a Xiaomi or even a Kogan if desperate

      • what xiaomi model?

  • +4

At that price range, you're probably better off getting a Xiaomi Dreame V9

Pick up the Trouver for $99 when it comes up again

    • Missed last sale on it.

    • This is the real bargain, excellent for the price.

    • Hi Whitelie, where was it sold at that price for please?

Mostly thru GShopper or their eBay account. I think we cleaned them out though as they don't have stock now.

  • I saw this one on sale $99 https://www.innovations.com.au/p/home/laundry-cleaning/vacsa…
    shopback cashback available

  • We have a somewhat premium Kogan stick vac and the $30 old school vacuum we picked up from BigW on special craps all over it. If you're going stick, go premium (not Dyson).

  • is this an ALDI only model? wierd that they don't list a model number.
