  • One of the best entry level closed back headphones, at possibly the lowest ever price! These can hold their own against any closed backs under $500 and quite a few over $500 too.

    • They're definitely at a good price, but I wasn't enamoured with them directly compared to the K371. Treble is a bit uneven and it shows up.

For flat with a bit of fun, I prefer the Takstar Pro 82 v2, but the AKG K371 stands above that.

      • Interesting, I actually thought the K361 sounded better than the K371 - even though the K371's build quality is noticeably better.

More specifically I found that the treble on the K371 could get a bit too peaky for my tastes, where as the K371 seemed to have a more rolled off top end.

I'm personally still hoping for a close-out deal on the Focal Elegia's from Addicted to Audio, similar to the one they ran on the Elear last year. $500 and I'll pull the trigger!

        • Was pad seal an issue for you? Might explain why the K371 seemed brighter.

          • @jasswolf: I got a pretty good seal on both of them. I should note that the K371 didn't ever get sibilant - but the K361 seemed to have a more relaxed sound signature, which I tend to prefer as I'm quite treble sensitive.

        • Design on the headset is pretty poor imo. The sliding adjust or is loose on mine already. Sounds good though. Agree with the treble borderline peaky (not sibilant)
