You go to share a deal and find a dupe. Gonna be one of those Prime Days!

I don't know. Seems to be slim pickings so far.

The Duet is great value though. As for the pen, $59 at Lenovo, periodically discounted, but suffers from terrible battery drain.
I take the battery cap off when not using. And break open 9V battery to get 6x AAAA (or near enough) inside.

More deals will become available later in the day. For now everyone is rushing to post as much as they can.

Definitely a good deal for the Duet. I've started to use Chrome OS a lot lately and it's a solid platform.

    • I don't see it being too much of a problem really. I have posted deals before, to check no duplication and find none, just to find my posting has been deleted because there actually is one. I wouldn't report a duplication; the more the merrier!

  • I paid $337 on Friday :(

I submitted a price protection claim with my credit card at least, just 🤞 they approve it.

  • Amazing deal! Now kicking myself for paying $325 for this about 6 months ago.
Also, you can write this off fully for the upcoming tax season (equipment under $300).
    Amazing, amazing, amazing.

You are kicking yourself over $26 for 6 months use!? That is $1 per week :)

      • Just exaggerating, mate. Was trying to have some fun. Probably too much then.

        • Yes, I got it. See smiley at end of my post :-)

    • Was researching this tonight and said to myself, if it's $299 on Prime Day then I'll bite because of tax. I guess Bezos leaves me no choice, need a small tablet to take all my work documents around with me - laptop is just too cumbersome and gets in the way.

      • Quick buy before sold out

        • Yes sir…purchased.

Seems they're selling for about 200-250 on eBay so not much lost if you don't end up liking it much and sell.

This is heavy for its size and can be slow if you go crazy and install many android apps.
    That's my experience

    • Not sure why you’re getting downvoted this things a piece of crap

Has been cheaper before i think, this year prime is crap sorry

      I don't think so.. it was 325

  • Hey, is this any good, looking at sending a laptop/chromebook/tablet for a relative overseas?

It is mainly for online school and other school related things (word, powerpoints, basic research etc.)

    Cheers

It's more for convenience rather than productivity. The keyboard is undersized so not great for extensive typing.

Social media, emails, web browsing all good.

      • thanks, I'll look for a windows machine then!

  • Can you add an SD card?

    Thanks,

    MT.

    • No

      • Thanks for reply,

    3 months YouTube premium included

  • Can we get Officeworks to price beat Amazon Prime deal?

  • Prime match at Jbhifi and get a further $25 off if paying with latitudepay? Otherwise extra 3% off amazon if paying with gift card from suncorp?

    • Latitudepay not an option once ordered through price match link. Were you able to do it?

      • Perhaps instore? Afaik they accept latitudepay instore. I haven't purchased tbh. Still thinking whether I should buy chromebook or just upgrade my current laptop. So just throwing ideas in case someone wants to try.

  • If only it was slightly higher powered. Screen and keyboard and form factor are great but a few apps and tabs and it can seize up. Also sometimes it teaches half a minute to become responsive after waking it up. But it's a great unit to have lying around in the kitchen/living room for simple work.

  • I use the Alogic USI. Seems OK, but haven't used any other USI to compare it.

I just googled it and found it for $51.95 online. JB sell it so get them to price match for you.

    • Have you tried on Chromepad Duet? Lenovo told me the hardware does not support Stylus (checked my serial #).
      Only on Yoga Duet

      • just search on youtube hundred video of duet with USI stylus reviews there.
it can. 100000% can. full stop.

  • Hi has anyone opened theirs yet.
Does it have a tempered glass or screen protector

  • Checked with Lenovo for the one I got on 13 June from OW & was told the hardware does not support Stylus (they asked for serial#).

    • There are heaps of review on youtube showing it supports USI stylus
