Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 2-in-1 10.1" Chromebook $299 Delivered (Free C&C) @ Officeworks

330

Bought this last night myself, but Officeworks now matching Amazon Prime deal of $299, handy if you want/need it now, do not have Prime, or simply dislike shopping with Bezos.

Note the upcoming Shopback 15% Cashback (capped at $20) for the Amazon listing if still in stock. Please wait until after the Shopback deal is active as currently it is NOT eligible for cashback, because it is listed in the Computers category and not Tablets on Amazon.

    I don't need it…I don't need it…I don't need it……

    • C'mon. I know you want it.

  • Bugger, paid $398 for one at OW on 19th May GRRRRRR

  • lol my mum paid $337 for this yesterday, do officeworks refund price drops?

    • No, but just return it due to "change of mind" then buy it again at the new price. I've done it before with a laptop.

      • She's opened it… rules that out doesn't it?

Buy another and return it on the old receipt?

        • I had opened my laptop and was using it for 2 days. I was actually blown away that they let me return it and I have looked favourably on Officeworks ever since.

EDIT: I'd call them before hand to double check though, Officeworks can be funny with what some stores will do that others won't.

        • You can return used items within 30 days as long at they are able to resell i.e good condition. I recently returned a Note 20 that was on discounted @ a city store for $899, went back to my A71 & decided to wait for the next line up.

        • Ask if they can do a further discount for buying an open-box Chromebook.

You can return a laptop within 30 days of purchase if it is a change of mind, provided it is returned in as new, resellable condition with all the contents and the original receipt.
And yes, you could just repurchase another ideapad duet at the lower price while you're at it.

Rang the store she bought it from they'll refund us and sell us the same item for the new price -win!

  • This vs. Tab S6 lite?

    • This is good value but the s6 lite will certainly performed better.

  • Balls. I just bought galaxy tab a7 4g from Telstra for $267 this morning.

  • Bought some dashcam stuff on eBay on Sat for $300, so bought $300 worth of eBay cards to pay, and I've since cancelled that order because it was $50 cheaper on Amazon.

So I now have $300 worth of eBay Gift Cards to spend, and seeing that Officeworks eBay has this for the same price, I'm doing some serious mental gymanistics to convince myself that I should probably just buy one of these since the money's already spent.

    • Makes sense to me

I know that it's the right thing to do, but I also know it's the wrong thing to do.

Im not privvy to the OS - can i still add apps for "Free"?

    Download APK's?

    • Don't know about "free" apps but yes you can sideload apk's without Google Play. More involved than on Android but not unreasonably so…

You can also install some Linux desktop apps via the Linux development environment - the Duet is 32bit however and limited to a subset of applications unless you have the patience to build your own.

How well does this work as an android tablet?

  • Can I install win 10 on this?

  • I bought this hub on ebay when there was $15off. Turns out it's very useful for the Chromebook

  • Would either PB or Bing Lee price match this?

  • Expired deal as the price has gone up again to $337, now that the Amazon Prime offer has finished.

  • Are you able to install Wyze and Eufy security apps via Android app store?? I tried all the Intel chipset Chromebook's play store. None of them able to install Wyze app.

Anyone can check for me as I'm assuming this device is ARMs chip so may work with more Android apps. Thanks in advance.

    • Wyze is not available in Google Play but can be installed using the Linux Development Environment. The app will open however I am unable to confirm if it is 100% functional.

Eufy Security is available via the Google Play store.

      • Thanks for testing it out for me. Cheers
