dam .. let see if i can re order some things…….and cancel

    • Will this work? - Let me know how you go, just spent like $200 before I saw this!

      • depends where you order is in the process….by 4pm… i think a lot of orders would be picked…as amazon are normally really quick…

        • +4

Yeh all the stuff I bought this morning are already preparing for shipment.

I can't be bothered returning them when I receive them.

Just have to find more useless stuff to buy… Like the $0.99 pair of scissors :D

          • @zzzman: There might be fees payable when returning to Amazon too.

    • -3

if I paid with gift cards, do you know if we get that recredited back if I cancel?

      • Yes you do

      • +2

        Valid question.

        • Instantly

  • -7

This would have been nice last night at midnight

    • +2

      Agreed!
Unfortunately, we didn't find out until an hour ago :(

      • +1

are Subscribe & Save purchases still excluded ?

        • Unfortunately, cashback is not eligible on S&S.
          Cheers!

  • -7

huh they purposely delaying the promotion?
why not announce this like weeks ago and start at midnight today same as prime day?

    • They upped it to 10% this morning I believe

    • +8

Can one of you brave anonymous downvoters explain what’s wrong with what ChiMot said?

Do you think it’s a quiet day down at the Amazon office, hey let’s talk to ShopBack and discuss a new cashback offer STARTING IMMEDIATELY

      • +12

We had confirmation on this an hour ago.
We knew it was on the table a while ago, but we couldn't say so until confirmed by Amazon.

        • +2

Either way, we thank you for having our back…

On a side note, we had a purchase that was DOA and Amazon shipped a replacement, what happens to cashback in that scenario? The replacement was thankfully fine.

          • @thushan: I'd love to know the answer to this as well - both if it's the only item in the order, or part of an order (does the whole order get invalidated for ShopBack?). I was told once on OzB any refund triggers zero cash back on the entire order but both CR and SB are not very clear on this.

    • Amazon pull the strings…… They pay for the promo, they dictate all the terms as to when it is to be promoted. You should be negging them.

      • i agree with your sentiment, but that's literally the opposite of how negs work on ozb. they're always meant to be directed at the store/company for either not great price or other horrible practices, not the OP for posting them.

in this case, chimot's usage was right.

    • +2

yeah lets do a upsized cashback at midnight for an hour when less people are awake to buy stuff.. good strategy

  • +2

can you purchase giftcards to get the cashback?

    • good points

    • Not from Amazon, the only cashback you get on Gift Cards is from our Super Store :)

      • +2

Do I get cashback if there is promotion discount at the check out? Like 4K fire tv stick? There is promotion of $40 applied without any code.

    • +6

Would you neg any adobe offers then?

      • +7

If you follow this thinking you'd literally have to neg every big company out there including Amazon and eBay lol

    • +1

Where's your neg for all the other eBay and Amazon deals?

  • +5

Wth! Already shipped many items! Too late!

  • Can't see anything about this after clicking in. Can you add more detail into your description. ie is it only valid between a certain time?

Edit: Now edited in with time.

  • +5

$20 per transaction or 1 transaction only?

    • +2

      $20 cap per order

      • When you say 'per order' does this mean that if i make multiple orders worth $133.40, such as 3 of them, i can get $60 worth in cashback?

        • +13

          That's correct ;)

          • +3

@gotyourback: Wow I'll be busy buying

          • +3

@gotyourback: Thats new. I always thought that the cap limit on these sales was per account. Like max $20 cashback for 1 shopback account. Might have missed on the alcohol sales previously.

            • +4

@EnALup: Some sales will be per transaction, some will be per account. We will specify if it's per account.
If we don't specify, it's 99% likely to be per transaction.
Feel free to shoot across a DM if you're ever unsure :)

              • @gotyourback: you didn't specify for amazon, so I logged in, did a purchase, checkout, done.

closed window and went to shopback, went to amazon again and did a second checkout - will both be eligible for 15% / $20 cap PER transaction / order ?

        • You mind explaining to me how you get $60?

        • +3

Remember GST. Max benefit is at $146.66 per order.

      • Hi, is that per order or per account? For example, if I have 3X$145 orders, that will give me 3x$20 or just $20? Thanks.

        • +1

Hey, as mentioned above it's per order :)
          Enjoy!

      • per order? so can do multiple orders?

    • Currently with up to 10% Cashback, is there a cap? Ie. For items over $200…

  • +56

The amount of ungrateful people on here amazes me

    • Agreed it's making people think that businesses are meant to provide discounts for the OzB community and they are feeling privileged.

  • +12

Astonishing amount of entitlement from all the neg voters

  • There's two days of promotions.

  • +2

Damn, should have waited for a few purchases this morning.

On the other hand I was still on the fence about the PS5 Pulse headset, will see if that's still in stock at 4 I guess..

      • +2

Promo said all categories, guess we'll see.

  • Yes I already purchased some items that could’ve used this. But I already know I’ll be purchasing more so that’s a relief haha

  • +8

    waiting for CR

    • +1

      Always prefer CR, more reliable.

  • +5

Hmm. Still on the fence with that pinky kitty headset for work.

    • -1

Do it. Have fun, then return :-)

  • +23

Pro tip from previous deals like this:

Buy each item separately, that way when you need to return someone, your whole cashback isn't cancelled

    • +1

      Great tip!

    • You can also then choose to group the items to have them delivered together if you don't 5-10 packages arriving over different days (and time is not an issue).

    • Great tip. But because I wanted to take advantage of the Amex $20 cash back on $100 of purchase offer, I didn't do this. Traded $20 cash for the fact I'm stuck with what I've bought from Amazon!

  • +6

Might not include all categories, plenty are 0% for Amazon AU. Devil in the detail so don't rush to cancel orders.

    • Only 4-5pm not yet.

    • +2

It will be all categories but it only lasts for one hour. Obviously subscribe and save won't count…unsure on Lightning deals.
Most of the things I bought were S&S so I'm not bothered. Expected this so I've waited to buy a Kindle as I doubt it will run out of stock 😁

    • +1

      All Categories

That's in the title. Are you disputing that?

      • +1

        Is dealbot a shopback rep?

    • +8

It's definitely on all categories - only for 1 hour.

      • Thanks for clarifying.

      • +2

is purchase gift card eligible for the cashback?

        • Absolutely :)

      • Is subscribe and save included?

  • pffffffffffffffffffffffffff now they do it

  • Very noice fuiyoooooo

  • May not work with subscribe and save orders

    • Correct, S&S is still excluded.
      Cheers!

  • Perfect, was just about to buy a fire stick. Thanks SB!

    • haha nice!
      Enjoy! ;)

  • +1

Lol just cancelled order. Will wait ~3 hours. Thanks dealbot.

  • Can some smarter than me do the math on max spend here to cap $20

    • +1

      $133.34

    • 20 / 0.15 = $133.33

      Happy to be corrected.

    • +2

$150..I think..🤔 you have to take out the GST first

      • +1

Good point. If GST is excluded from CB calculation, then $146.67 spend gets the full $20 cashback.

In my experience, though, I've only noticed GST being excluded from CB calculation when it's an imported item where GST gets added at checkout. Could be wrong.

    • $133ish.
GST might change that not sure if included

    • $133.3333334

    • +1

Approx $145 . Gives you $19.8 in CB.( GST and shipping excluded)

    • +3

      username doesn't check

  • +5

Does this work with items sold by amazon US but bought via amazon.com.au ?

    I thnk so right?

    • Rep, can you confirm?

      • +3

Can confirm, as long as it's sold on Amazon AU it will be eligible :)

  • +4

Yep, wait until all the deals are gone… lol

  • aaah. now to get the impulse buys ready…
