Better value than anything locally if you're looking for 16gb and decent battery life

    • +10

+1 on battery. I only use it for powerpowers, note taking, word etc and easily get 10hrs at almost full screen brightness (which isn't that bright). I paid $1024 for it and still think it is the best value laptop I have ever owned. Trying not to buy a 2nd

    • +1

      Agree. Excellent laptop!

I would probably say this as although it has less storage, it has pen support and a larger battery, while being cheaper

    • +1

The point of the flex series is the touch and pen (which is great). If you do not need touch or a pen, then above is likely better.

      • and it's also cheaper… But yeah the other one is good too.

    • this one 6 cores 6 threads vs the more expensive one 6 cores 12 threads if you are planning for multi-threading stuff like virtual machine

  • How does this 2 in 1 laptop go with less graphic intensive games like football manager 2021?

    • +1

The AMD vega graphics on the Ryzen 4500U should easily be able to manage FM 2021. Just adjust your settings if needed.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube of this laptop gaming like the one in the link below. Just look it up

Last image is weird, does it come with a number pad or not?

    • +2

      Definitely doesn't. Good catch.

    • +2

      no numbered pad

    • +1

Nice find. I have purchased this and it does not have the number pad thing on the side. I think the 15.6" one does. Likely they screwed the stock images

Be aware the review comments say it comes with a US power cord and International Warranty.

    • Added sample plugs above and the US warranty is an interesting one. I read people have claimed locally by upgrading the warranty. Either way amazon will take the return. Just make sure it's purchase via Amazon AU.

  • Can claim price protection, thanks

  • will cashback work with this?

  • FYI Bought this last time and could not make the warranty conversion to AU work.

  • Damn, I paid $921 for exactly the same model in May from Amazon US.

    • I paid $892 just recently too, and the window for return is still open. Just came off chat with Amazon, they said can return and then reorder.

Not sure if will do so to save $100 - up to $32 of postage for return.

    • Maybe check if your creditcard has a price guarantee policy … if so, think most require a $75 differential YMMV

      • I used Coles MasterCard Platinum. Not sure if I have price Protection included but will check tomorrow. Thanks.

  • I am waiting for below one from Amazon US since 14th April :(

Will buy AU Plug mentioned in this deal to get ready.

  • As above.

    • Likewise

  • How many nits?

  • 250 nits

  • I can see the pen but can you use your finger like an ipad?

    • +8

A finger is nothing like an iPad

      • +2

        User name checks out

  • How is this vs the yoga, mainly for typing (programming work)?

    • Premium product.

  • +1

Damn would buy this if it had a nipple.

  • I'm assuming the RAM is soldered?

  • got one of these on sale for $850 back at the start of the year for the daughter's BYOD. Awesome machine so far - fast, great screen, the flex is actually really useful, keyboard good. Doesn't seem to be particularly robust however. Her swift 5 lasted her 3 years despite being dropped multiple times, and is still going as her younger brothers BYOD. Don't think this one will hold up as well.

  • Trying to buy this. It's saying $1900?

    • Looks like the deal is expired mate

      • Appears to be.

  • +1

I highly recommend buyers of this to run a simple ping test when they get it.
    https://www.meter.net/ping-test/

Then compare with your other laptop pc devices.

The flex I bought which was from a different deal has terrible wifi latency and jitter, ping is most noticable in games or voice calls. Then with the new ethernet adapter I got, the ping is perfect again, like my old laptop is.

Back in stock and cheaper! $789.33 (paid $765.55 using Macquarie gift cards).

  • I bought the more expensive one of these - https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/ideapad/flex-series/Ide… - via the Lenovo student deal for $899. The WiFi worked for a couple of hours and then died, the laptop could not detect the wifi adapter and all troubleshooting and even a factory reset failed. I am talking to Lenovo Support and they have suggested a replacement or refund, I think refund would be most likely but I would prefer a replacement since it was a good deal.

Anyone know how to best deal with Lenovo Support as they take 24 hrs to reply and it’s a slow and painful process.

  • Just hoping to get an answer through here as I have searched everywhere without solving the issue:

Can anyone get the camera on this laptop to work. Haven't tried to use it till now, but when trying, windows says the camera can't be found, and error code of 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached>

Some solutions suggest that you need to give windows privacy access but can't get this done. Some suggest going through Lenovo Vantage app but it doesn't see the camera there either.

    Would appreciate some help. Thanks.

NB. I have 2 of this laptop, one bought 10 months ago and one just a few weeks ago. In desperation, I have set up the new one (still has not been used), gone through the windows set up process and the camera does not work on that one either!!!
