5-10% off TCN Home, Cinema and Active Gift Cards (1 Transaction Only, Maximum $500 Value) + 1% Processing Fee @ TCN

230

Check your inbox. I received a TCN email titled "E.O.F.Y Sale Is Here!" for 10% off, and a promo code to apply the discount.

YMMV. Some people get 10%, others get 5% discount.

Promo code: XXXXXX - valid until 30/06/21. Limited to one use per person and up to a maximum of $500. No additional cashbacks or discount applicable with this code.

[Edit]: 1% processing fee applies, so effectively 4-9% off.

Some people have trouble applying the code to Home, here's their response:

"Thank you for your email.

We are happy to confirm that the E.O.F.Y sale applies to our HOME, ACTIVE and Cinema cards. This sale is only valid for purchases made before 30/06/2021 directly from our websites - either https://thecardnetwork.com.au/pages/the-home-card, https://thecardnetwork.com.au/pages/the-active-card, or http://cinema.gift/.

Please note that the discount code you received is limited to 1 use and there's a maximum transaction of $500.

Should you meet all this criteria but still have difficulty applying the discount code on your purchase, you can go ahead and place the order and get back to us with the discount code that you have. We will check it on our system and apply the code retroactively if the criteria is met."

  • Targeted promo code

    • As per title ;-)

  • Any difference between the digital or Physical card when it comes to advantages/disadvantages?

    • +1

      None.

    • Any difference between the digital or Physical card when it comes to advantages/disadvantages?

Digital - You don't have to leave the house ;-)

      • I was hoping that the digital ones for JBHIFI would just consolidate up into a larger gift card to save time… since there is a max redemption amount

    • +1

Digital cards get put into apply pay / google pay- can easily track amount remaining. Can also immediately redeem the online card into a store voucher (e.g. JBHiFi voucher) if thats what you prefer

  • Mine is 5%.

  • Mine is only 5%

  • Only got 5% - IMO is not worth the effort.

    • If someone is getting say an iPhone 12 mini on sale at JB, that's $50 free money with 10% discount, or $25 with 5%.

      • -1

        Value is up to $500

  • I got a 10% offer. Tried adding 5 x $100 HOME cards and get through checkout… and get the message "This code isn't valid for the items in your cart"

Am I doing something wrong here?

    • You are right, does not work on Home, I tried on Active and that worked. That was a waste of time TCN. I have sent them a message to see if they can fix it.
Does anyone with 5% offer have the same issue for Home?

      • Thank you! The EDM they sent out does not make it clear which cards it can or cannot be used with (unless that information is in the inline images which are blocked/filtered at my end).

        • My email image clearly shows Home, Active and Cinema.

          • @Buy2Much: For those who have trouble with Home, here's their response:

My 10% worked on home cards! Digital though, if that makes any difference

  • Whats the email subject?

    • E.O.F.Y Sale Is Here!

  • +1

there is a card processing fee of $5.

    • You are right, there is a 1% processing fee. Noted.

    • +3

Try clicking really quickly to checkout when you go to the basket - it skips the fee

      • tried multiple times. Not working

      • Good trick, worked for me. Otherwise it'll have 2 items listed in your cart (1 being the fee). Removed it, readded, then spammed checkout before the page had the chance to add in the fee.

  • can you swap this card for an actual jb gift card in store?

    • No

  • My 5% code is PXLCXMMF

  • I have leftover of a few dollars in my Home gc. Just found out that i cant use it if the stuff that i'm buying is more than the amount i have on the gift card. Anyone knows what I can do with the leftover?

    • +1

i swear JB lets you do split payments though? ask to get charged whatever is left on the card, maybe minus 1 cent to be safe ($8.59 left on card, ask them to charge 8.58) then pay the rest with your normal bank card

    • is that only when trying to use it online, or instore as well? Interested to know

  • 5% here. No deal

If anyone is kind enough to share their 10% code, would love it. Long term Ozbargainer.
