Says RRP of $40, though normal price at Amazon or Kogan is listed at $24.
If you've been looking at replacing your grinders, you can get $5 off and free shipping.
Light included which makes it easier to see the salt falling.

I've had mine for over 5 years (still working but I damaged the housing forcing it the wrong way … brush off the threads of the salt grinder from time to time)

I've now looked at the questions and answers.
It now uses 4AA (used to use 6AAA)

Coarseness adjustment is on the bottom.

This pack includes 2 grinders; not just 1.

Thanks OP got one , great price.

    Why keep pink salt away?

    • The problem happened after someone gave me some of the pink salt. I realize it's more that I never cleared the threads of salt crystals and after 5 years it finally jammed. I retract that statement in the OP about the pink salt.

Great price, Thanks, got one with my amazon credit :)

  • @OP Can you change the coarseness of the grind?

    • On my previous ones, yes; I haven't checked with this one, just assumed it was the same

      • Cool thanks :)

        • Confirmed, you can adjust the coarseness of the grind

    • +1

      Yes you can!

Some tips; I use Eneloops or other OzBargain approved LSD batteries :)

As a low usage user, I just do a discharge/refresh in the battery charger once every 6 - 12 months. (longer if I forget)

In future I'll also sometimes brush the threads on the holder section, clearing some of the ground pepper and salt, to prevent it jamming. (Mine jammed after 5+ years of use and I ended up damaging the housing unjamming it). Probably a good idea for any grinder, not just electric ones.

better design would be stored upside down so no crumbles falling to the desk/table

They actually have little bottom cover things they sit on, but I agree

  • "keep Coles Himalayan pink salt away from the grinder"
What about Aldi Himalayan pink salt?
Thanks OP. Ordered a set to replace my 12 mth old ones which are f???ed. Maybe from pink salt?

    • +1

Yeah I've retracted the statement now.

I think it just coincided with me damaging my grinders, that I was given some of that pink salt.
It's more that I never cleared the salt from the threads on the grinders and ended up jamming mine.

    • I should also say it's had no problems grinding up pink salt (been doing that for more than 3 months)

  • Will it be very difficult if I just want a little salt or pepper out?

    • They're relatively slow so you'll be right!

    • +1

it doesnt release a lot of salt or pepper anyway

      • Woah, mine does… mine is like a rainfall of salt… easy enough to lightly press the button but.. damn this thing could grind through all the salt inside it in about 2 minutes I reckon

        • Lol, 2 minutes is a long time

  • I've had these for about a year, have you had any problems with yours with it getting jammed? I find it I set the grind too low both my pepper and my salt mills get stuck, it's really annoying

    • my 5 years old version was fine

  • Hey OP, is the grinding mechanism metal or plastic?

    • not sure

      • +1

I mean the bit where the salt and pepper granules get ground.

I find the plastic ones eventually lose their sharpness.

        Anyways, I couldn't resist and bought a set 😁

  • I love that it uses 4X AA rather than the 6 AAAs - should last longer?

I really wish DeWalt or someone would make a commercial version of these - ie with 12/18V rechargeable battery, ceramic conical grinders and a much larger hopper. I'd happily pay $200 for them.

      OzB license. Now.

    • Use some 14500 cells; same size as an AA but 3.7V nominal. Use some dummy cells to complete the circuit.

  • If you’d like something fancier

    • These are the best salt/pepper grinders I've ever owned. This may look cool, but being able to use a single hand for salt/pepper is awesome.

      • The Moulin's?
They're like $220US starting price, and that's if you even get them.

    • They look pretty cool and love that they are manual (why do we need batteries in everything?). But the price??? Just want some simple good looking salt and pepper grinders.

    • $300 for a salt grinder…

I like my fancy things, but I really can't see a point there. I keep a little salt shaker around for where I want flavour (soup or sauce) and these grinders for where I want texture as well (really good for seasoning meat before cooking, or putting on a salad or roast veggies)

Plus the electric is seriously nice, I'll never go back to grinding pepper again.

I like the feeling of cracking my pepper using a manual grinder. Call me old fashion.

      Hey old fashion

  • Looks like it's gone.

  • I have had these for few months. They are really good.

    Missed it by THAT much.

    • You sound salty

      • Must really grind their gears

      • You could say that, punny.

  • Read the reviews and decided not to buy
