    Probably the best Android Wear watch available right now, but keep in mind with the new samsung partnership, this watch may be obsolete sooner rather than later. Just something to keep in mind if you get one expecting it to be as good next year as it is now.

        Rumours are that Samsung will likely reveal them before the end of the year, but it's only speculation. I'm fairly certain we're going to see results from the Google-Samsung partnership either to coincide with the new Pixel, or with the Galaxy S22

            @Hypnotoad: Hmm, that makes sense. The Pixel 6 is rumoured to have a release date of around October (COVID and the chip shortage notwithstanding), which would mean that the new Samsung Wear OS watch could have a simultaneous release.

        Don't hold your breath. Everything Wear OS has been travelling at a snail's pace the last couple of years.

        There has been an indication that this model, with the Qaulcomm 4100 chipset and 1GB RAM, will receive the new Wear OS. But my experience with Mobvoi Ticwatch is that you are really only sure of what the watch is like when you first purchase it. I've had two 'E's and now a Pro 2020. They work, but they are not for everyone.

    Is the google pay independent from the phone?

    At the moment Google Pay works on my phone with root access but eventually they'll block it. When they do can I switch to the watch? Thanks.

    Can anyone who has this watch confirm that Google Assistant is activated with a "Hey Google" or "OK Google" command. I'm aware that you can press a button to activate it, but I'm interested to know whether just voice activates it. I can't find it on any reviews I've seen. Thanks.

      Hi. Voice does not activate the Google Assistant. You have to physically press the button to activate Google Assistant. In saying this I love this watch and does everything I need it to do. I would definitely buy this again and at this price it's a steal.
