  • www.mip.mimco.com.au doesn't seem to work?

    • lol yahoo needs to get rid of the www in front, it's just mip.mimco.com.au

For unknown reasons the site seems to be down half the time I try to load it.

  • I just signed up a couple of days ago.. bummer.

Can you get anything for $50 at Mimco? If so what?

    • +1

No bags or wallets, but you could get a mini umbrella, charms, giftpacks, body wash/lotion, a candle, pencilcases and a few other things.

      • Thanks for that! I will pick one up then.

  • Is this $50 voucher valid on-line only or in-store only or both?

  • -1

Wow, everything is so overpriced! The only thing that I've found that I think is worth buying is this http://www.mimco.com.au/Product.aspx?ProductId=8381&ProductN…. But then shipping is another $10, so not sure if it's worth the $18.

Wow everything I would consider wanting is 'sold out', how disappointing. I usually shop online at the 'cotton on' site. They have free shipping for orders over 50 bucks and go to their 'sale' category and nothing is over ten bucks. I've ordered twice and it's always fast and well packed. Screw these guys.

What does cotton on have to do with mimco?

    • +3

Cotton On and Mimco aren't exactly in the same category. That's like comparing Oroton and Supre. Anyhow, they are giving away $50 worth of stuff free, you would expect them to run low on the cheaper stuff.

  • I assume that a 'Mimco boutique' includes the DFO outlets?

My memories of buying at Mimco consist of a girl thrusting more products at me saying 'But the store is 25% off and they NEVER discount the whole store. NEVER'. Not to rain on the never discounting parade, but I've seen the whole store discounted a couple of times since :).

But yeah, you can get stuff for under $50. Last time I was there, I bought a discounted headband for around $10. Maybe that's why the girl was urging me to buy more. Can't have pov customers ;).

  • I called around, found all the stuff I wanted and had them on hold, as I was activating the card yesterday morning ;), as it does take 24hrs to activate.

    • What about activating the card in store? Does it still take 24 hrs?

Cotton on and mimco sure aren't. Mimco is made in china, the label justifies them putting their prices up, maybe you should actually check out cotton on's online store before judging. I got these shoes for five bucks http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/bella-boot/ they're great quality, great fit, and awesome brand. The crap item you can get for the $50 voucher is either a keychain or; A Chinese-made cheap hair-pin and then you have to pay for postage, which is worth more than the item… And that's not even including the crap magazine. Just sayin'

    • did you just sign up to comment on this thread?? Just askin'

    • I'm guessing you would never purchase an Apple product

I use this site daily and last night I overdosed on Diet coke so I had nothing to do, so I perused and signed up. then I saw this ad and decided to comment after looking at mimco's site and ridiculous prices. Come on - 100 dollars for a hair clip? It's mimco, made in china, ugly designs, overpriced. It's not as though it's Gucci or anything.

    • If all your Apple stuff is so shit can you kindly just give them to me. Thank you.

      • +1

How much you willing to pay for them? I may as well follow in the footsteps of Apple and overcharge you right :)

      • Dang, you changed your original post, now my reply looks ridic.

        • Haha as long as we both know what's going on :) I actually sprayed my macbook with a garden hose anyways. It's no use..

Can this be used at David Jones?

    • No?

  • This is a pretty good deal

  • I am pretty sure you need to buy something in order to activate the card, so you can't get the $50 until you have already purchased something…

    • Maybe only in stores? When you buy something you can join in stores.
But the $50 with Marie Claire is more of an incentive to shop there, no min spend (cheapest thing is a $50 charm btw).

    • Can anyone confirm this? My understanding of the fine print was that you just had to activate the card online (thus becoming a member) and then proceed to spend away… I hope that is the case, anyway :) fingers crossed!

  • Feedback on this deal: Bought the magazine, registered the card, activated the email. Did receive an email within 24 hours confirming the $50 credit to use. It shows up within the checkout process, you need to click a box to choose to use the credit. It will not allow you to use the credit for postage so you will have to pay via credit card for delivery. Buying instore would eliminate the postage fee, but I imagine would add some serious sales pressure. Pretty smooth process overall.
