Haha, I like your options to the question!

    • Thanks. :)

  • Thanks, grabbed one :D

  • So is the twenty gone now Rep?

  • 50 clicks

do they also want my mum's maiden name? first pet name? first school teacher name? or just my email/facebook password, bank pin

    • +3

He meant separately. Fill out the form multiple times with different names - that's what he meant by 'real OzBargain-er' :)

  • +1

+vote because James seems like a really cool guy.

    • -1

Instead of promoting his product's picture he seems more interested on looking for paypals, my 2 cents.

      • What do you mean?

      • +4

I think he meant PENpals. Perfect dating site pic!

        • -1

Right penpals but paypals sound right too :)

    • Thanks.

  • +1

    Only 1 sachet? :(

Looks like he is taking a small and cautious step into the world of ozbargain.

    • very smart decision indeed, the last time we had a similar freebie promotion, we got hit by 3000 emails in 2 days and guess what… we weren't even the one putting up the post here! Good luck James! :)

      • Thanks. A few people negged the deal because they wanted me to make more product available. Next time I might run it with 100, 0r 200 units, but it gets costly pretty quick for samples.

  • +4

    20 freebies only? tight!

    • +2

      sorry.

haha someone call him at 2 am!! :D

  • +1

This deal is now 2nd highest on the main page, James' photo is making him famous!! All at the cost of 20 free tea bags.

    • +3

it is definitely a cheap way to advertise

      • +4

exactly, and i'm negging it for this reason. it's un-ozbargainan.

        • I don't think it's a justified neg though. BayBeans has been around for a long time, even before you joined OzBargain
          http://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/27842/nodes

This, while a limited amount, is a genuine freebie.

        • looking at most of their other coffee related deals, they dont look very popular either.

        • It is a significantly cheap way to advertise. I understand that he will also be paying for postage, but that really is a small price to pay for such good advertising. An extremely amount of people will get the deal, and the deal is very minor at that. Next time, bump up the amount to first 100 and it will feel better.

        • sorry I couldn't make more available this time..

      • +3

Gotta agree with you, I think there should be a minimum stock count on some deals ad this is one of these. hes gotten exposure to tens of thousands of people, through the cost of 20 tea bags. smart move on his part as he is playing within the rules.

  • +1

Surely 20 free tea bags is not enough stock!

    • I will run another one next month for 100 or maybe 200 units

  • +1

"your name, your mums name, your neighbours name and your friends name"
    no thanks…

    • clearly the humour has shot over many people's heads…..

    • +1

yeah, thats a bit of light humour. OzBargainers are known for entering more than once for freebies.

  • +2

"If you are a real Ozbargain'er, fill out the form in your name, your mums name, your neighbours name and your friends name."

So the first person got all 20, saving Bay Beans on postage.

  • +6

Absolutely terrible deal. Not enough stock.

    • -1

its a freebie for the first 20.

  • +2

This is really not much of a deal and that was determined by the stingy advertising attempt. Will you buy from a website that doesn't know what they/he is/are doing? I won't.

    • <looks sideways> its a freebie. sorry about that.

  • +4

    Not enough stock = advertising.

    • +1

      agreed

    • -2

sorry - at least 20 people will get freebies though.

    • -2

advertised a freebie for 20 people. all gone now.

  • So 20 stock posts are allowed now?

    • pretty sure its 10, but if it isnt, I am sorry.

  • -1

    All gone.

I will run another one next month for 100 or maybe 200 units if I can get an ozbargain deal on prepaid postage.

  • Ermm, hate to be obvious, but why is your face there?

If it were for example your face surrounded by Chai Latte sachets, maybe…

    • I didnt upload that to OzBargain, it pulled it automatically from my website.

  • Friggin missed out.. :O

  • These have all been posted now. I still have a few left, so if you missed out and would really like to try this, please contact me via;
