not bad! we are loving our $400 ozmo 920 from aldi

    • any app/mapping/remapping issues?

      • +1

We have an ecovacs t8 (not quite sure where it sits compared to the 950..), but we had some mapping issues on both floors. Took a few attempts for it to correctly map the floor. It tilted the map around and distorted the rooms, which is pretty strange.

The app is fine, it hides a bunch of features until the floor is mapped. The only gripe I have is that I can't schedule a specific rectangular area to be schedule cleaned (it's either the entire floor or a room). Oh and the siri shortcuts didn't work and I haven't tried it with my google home yet.

      • Got the ozmo 920 for $180 on the last eBay sale, works flawlessly. No mapping issues at all.

      • no mapping or remapping issues for me, works great

my only nit-pick is that I can't seem to have the robot setup on multiple phones

      • I have the 950 and haven't had any issues with mapping except then the kids get annoying with it and intentionally throw things in front of it or push it around it can get confused about where it is for a bit.

    • Same. Got the 920 for $399 from Aldi and couldn’t really complain. Only a couple of minor issues I’ve noticed:

      1. Sometimes it could not return to base to recharge and will aimlessly wander around and then stop.

      2. When I have the mopping pad on, it cannot go over low profile rug/carpet (fine without pad).

      Anyone with similar issues?

      • Not really, mine gets stuck under a lower couch (maybe I will add some felt under the legs) and over a ledge in front of a door (might add a virtual fence).
Also it used to close the door of the bathroom and get stuck there but I learned to wedge the door open when ready for action.

      • I was a bit concerned it might try to mop my rug and get it wet but was pleasantly surprised that it was smart enough not to - I think it's intended

  • This or an Ozmo T8?

    But Roborock

  • LIDAR type, good!

  • can it vacuum and mop at a same time?

    • +2

vacuum YES! mop wouldn't really call it mopping…more a padded wet sweep of the area!

    • +1

It is not true mopping, it has a piece of material (padded on a plate and kept wet from the water tank) which is in contact with the surface it works it's way over.
There is no "wiggling" of the part to wipe stubborn stains.
But it does collect stuff on it.

    this or roborock s5max?

  • I have the 920 and the software/ mapping issues are driving me crazy.

The damn thing can't just keep the map locked in once you've done the first full clean.

It gets confused and creates bizarre maps on top of each other, gets lost and just doesn't clean unless I do a reset of the map.

    • did you update the firmware? Mine work quite fine, map is stable.

  • The app says i Already have latest firmware version 1.8.2.

I have never moved the charging dock, why can't the robot just lock in the map once it's learnt instead of messing it up ?
