  I have this board, I got it in March, I had to update the bios to get it working with Zen 3 / 5XXX series CPU. I had to use USB quick flash bios thingymajic.

  I wish it had more USB ports on the back. Theres a lot of empty space on the back IO panel and most cases only support two USB ports on the chassis.

  I was spooked about having a motherboard with a onboard chipset fan but I can't hear it.

    FAT32 usb? and put .cap there? any name? do you just do the thing or need to go into bios(without the cpu) and oprate from there?

      Yeah, you put it onto a USB stick, pretty sure it has to be fat32.

      This video is a bit long-winded but I'm posting it because it's one of the few places that mentions you have to rename the bios file to gigabyte.bin

      I don't think you have to do this on a working system, it's only when you need to upgrade the bios to use a unsupported cpu, or if you don't have a CPU or ram at all but still want the latest bios.

  Warning about Harris Tenchology

  Purchased a motherboard from Harris Technology, with an afterpay 15% coupon,
  Harris Technology send out the wrong motherboard (non wifi version)..
  I returned it.. expecting them to send out the correct board..

  Instead they choose to refund, (even thought hey had stock of the correct item).

  They claim they have refunded the amount.. however the funds are not in ebay, afterpay or on my credit card.

  Harris Technology has washed they hands of this, and so far neither Afterpay or Ebay responded.. and are pretty much impossible to get hold off

  Service has just been appalling…
  If you contact Harris Technology directly they try to wash they hands their marketplace team..

  After months of buying stuff.. without too many issues.. (receipt issues only).

  this has occurred.. never again want to deal with this mob..

    sorry to hear that, i cant speak for HT as i never bought stuff from them yet. but i do have a refund via afterpay from other sellers.

    basically, once they received my email from ebay asking for cancellation and refund, the next day I will notify by email it got refunded, and 2 or 3 days later afterpay is refunded (basically the first payment is refunded, if you are still low tier member), and a few days later, I got the money back into my MasterCard where I linked to afterpay.

    should just wait a few days. afterpay has a tricky way of refunding, as in i wont be evident until the refund is fully processed.

      Phew, funds arrived back today, after contacting, ebay, Harris Tenchology and afterpay..

      Harris Tenchology have offered a discount to repurchase the item or on my next purchase…

      … haven't seen any details.. but I have indicated I am happy receive any disocunt..

      … we will see what they offer for the, 2-3 hours of wasted time and emailing / telephoning and returning the wrong item..

  I literally just bought this motherboard from the same ebay store yesterday for $245. Does anyone know if eBay's price guarantee works for ebay stores and also if it's with a coupon?

    The T&C specifically excludes eBay listings, so I think you might be SOL. Can you try your luck with chat/support? Credit card price protection? Dunno…It's only ~$20 in any case.
