me too, same experience that was told box opened never used. wondering how they got so many 'as new' opened box iPhones?
Maybe buying from difference shops and then selling them as new. I was one of the first ones to buy and before I bought and went to collect from their store in Parramatta, I asked them specifically over the phone if this is brand new sealed and they confirmed it is. When I went to pick up, clear packaging was shady as if someone packed the plastic film with human hand. It was thin and teared. Phone was kept other way round. They said it happened in transit and I believed them. According to Apple website, my phone was not activated but it was definitely box opened.
But they have also sold used and demo handsets to customers and sold as new. Don't know what were they thinking?
When I asked them a question about 'white box' on eBay, their answers were not consistent. I felt it best to avoid

Found two similar negative feedback on the phones from the seller.
"Was verbally notified that exterior wrapping had been ripped but no damaged to the box and is unopened. However upon opening of the box, the phone was incorrectly placed upside-down, indicating the box had been opened and phone taken out. It is unclear if the phone had previously been used as the condition was as new, but unhappy with the listing as "brand new" and lied about the box being unopened for a $1500+ product.

Past 6 monthsvery disappointed about this purchase and dishonour seller, described as brand new of iphone 12, then was told it is been opened and never used. I think they are selling preowned or returned item. BE WARNED!!!
Got both iPhone 12 and Macbook Air brand new.
Ordered on Jun 30 and arrived on Jul 2.

I would never buy from this seller again, specially an expensive cell phone. They are liars and dodgy. Please read reviews from buyers from old iphone deals. Have been a victim myself.
