TL;DR wish I stayed with PIA
My main gripes with NordVPN on Windows 10 is:
- it feels like it needs to constantly update itself and the modal prompts / click-throughs are quite intrusive / disrupting to your workflow; PIA updates were less frequent and much more seamless
- it randomly logs you out often (Google it; lots of similar complaints) & you have to login back in often; to login, it pops open your browser, you auth, then you return to the NordVPN app which is a messy workflow; never had this problem with PIA — it just worked

@Jono258: I was able to search and download from Amazon app store a while ago. it might be because of software update.
Which version of fire-tv stick do you use? I use fire tv lite and it has latest version of OS.
Previous releases such as Basic might not update to latest version of OS

I've used PIA in the past and moved to NordVPN about 2 years ago when a similar deal via cashrewards was offered (3 year deal then). For my limited usage, they have been functionally equivalent. I agree with the comments that NordVPN regularly prompts for updates, but on the other hand I have found the update process much more reliable than I had with PIA. I'm sure PIA has improved their update process, but that was my own somewhat dated experience.
Does this auto renew or can I cancel straightaway but keep access for 2yrs?
I believe you can switch auto renew off. I signed up this morning but didn’t see any auto renew on my account.

Was showing $99 (USD) for the 2 year plan with 3 free months.
then 108.90 with GST ("VAT" on their page)
Ended up being AUD $139.39 on the email receipt.
Paid with an Aussie credit card, not paypal…exactly same numbers as joyfulpatrick.. paid via 28degrees card

I've been with NordVPN for about 1.5 years, after using AirVPN for some time. Agreed with the above comments about frequent updates, but I'm not having much of an issue with being logged out at all (it's happened a handful of times, perhaps).
I'm new to VPN and looking for some Ozbargain help.
Do I need to play around with my router settings to get this working or is it simply login with an account and Nord does the rest?
Also how would I run my TV through Nord. It is hardwired to our internet and we use the samsung netflix app to watch shows but would like to watch US shows
My simple solution is with the Google TV.
Install the app from the store, open, select country, open netflix, watch.
