  Not much info on this model - not on the edifier Intl or Aus websites.

  Are those dimensions correct? 39cm Height is huge

  No sub out on this model, so the R1855DB @ $169 would be a good alternative.

    It's a 3 way speaker with a 6.5" woofer. It's not exactly going to be small. 39cm sounds pretty reasonable.

      Yeah I get that, just not exactly the same "good for your desk" category as their other bookshelf speakers

    These do actually have a sub-out. And yeah they are pretty huge 😮

    Got a set of these during the previous sale and can confirm that, see pciture of rear of the unit.

    Hopefully that info helps someone.

  Got this for TV, I am surprised about the size when I receive it, overall I am happy with it. Bass is deep enough, mid and high is clear.

  Can I use this instead of the soundbar for TV, how this is compared to a $800 soundbar.

    never own a $800 soundbar. The sound bar I owned (Sony & Yamaha) around $400 mark, nothing come close to my r1700bt in terms of playing music. But for movies, sound bar is better for dialogues and cleaner setup. That said i will go with proper speaker than a soundbar anyday.

  How well do these compare to the s2000mkIII? Which I bought for $359 from the wireless1 deal, which had suprisingly only a 2 day delivery time.

  I got these during prime sale as well. They are huge! They do sound really good and still sound good when put quite loud.

      just received it, definitely not 1kg! it's HEAVY! Sounds awesome for a $195 speaker with all the input options. Only damn issue is power on the right speakers where my powerpoint is on the left !
