  • What resolution does this camera record at? It just states 4mp?

    • +1

seems to be 1440p or 2560x1440

Really decent overview camera, I also have one in the roof, although I am sure I purchased for $79 USD delivered during a 30% off sale. This price is quite good,
Annke upped the RRP to $259.99 USD on their Web Site and on sale for $129 USD, but that seems exploiting the chip shortages.

PS: Works fine with BlueIris, the firmware shows the origins are basically a Hikvision clone.

I think I'll wait for another $95aud deal:

Not sure of this brand, but I'm really disappointed in my Wyze v3 camera. Great camera with excellent night vision and features, but you're bound by their subscription model - if you don't subscribe, you only get 12 second recording with 5 minutes between each recording, with no way to capture the stream locally.

I'm really disappointed that I spent my money on it to find this out - it shouldn't be allowed.

Nice story bro. Read the box next time.

      • -3

Tell me you're annoying without telling me you're annoying. No boxes on Ebay chief.

        • Tell me you didn't do any research without telling me you didn't do any research

There is a thing called Google. Chief.

@CletusDB: Another goose throwing their 5c in. Helpful lot here tonight. This site is becoming painful to navigate with all the 2 year olds being allowed to use mums computer while she's busy making dinner.

@Tony76: Says the guy who started his post saying he didn't know anything about this product… complaining about his Wyze camera on a Annke camera post. Off topic and doesn't add anything to the discussion.

I'm going to post about the issues I have with my Samsung phone on the next iPhone post… I don't own an iPhone but that seems to be what all the cool kids are doing

If you want help post a, preferably a somewhat researched, question on an appropriate forum.

Have you even got an sd card in you Wyze camera?
Because according to my 2 seconds of research it would appear you can record locally that way

@CletusDB: Comparing camera features is off topic? Thats a new one to me. Samsung v iPhone is a stupid comparison. I think you must be mistaking me for a 20 year old tech head who has the time or inclination to waste days researching new technology to see how it works. I buy a webcam, I'd expect it to be able to capture it's stream on my home network. Call me stupid. I wasn't asking or expecting to be riduculed for buying a camera that doesn't fulfill a basic need, but this is todays society I guess. Young people full of themselves, and just outright disrespectful with their answers and comments.

@Tony76: You've made an assumption on my age and are totally wrong.
No one had ridiculed you (not in a way you did not already do yourself)

As I said had you posted in the appropriate location and manner you would probably get help.
Blaming "young" people and having an expectation of respect which is an earned trait not a gifted one… very how do you say "boomerish" if we are going to make over generalisations

I've tried to help you in a direction solve the problem but you seem to not be willing to acknowledge that or the need to be willing to help yourself so that is me done.

Good luck with your future endeavours

                  • @CletusDB: On you for not wasting more energy. What kind of OzBargainer buys a product without a basic understanding of what its features are…

                    • @reloxation: Awful lot of bs banter going on here!
I posted here about how Wyze cams need a subscription model in order to work properly, and you three keep waffling on about how I should have done my research, the irony being of course that by posting this information here I'm saving others from having to do their research, while you have all added nothing at all to the conversation.

                      • @Tony76: I'm sure when people search for Wyze Cams, they'll look towards the post on ANNKE cams lmao

    • This came up after searching ONLY "Wyze v3"
MicroSD and Continuous Recording – Wyze https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029728632-Micr…

      • Yes.
I want to capture the stream, not record it to sdcard, which don't like repeated overwrites. Its a certainty that it will fail to record just as a critical event occurs. I assumed that every security camera on the market would output a capturable stream. You should be able to capture that stream. Recording to an sdcard is not streaming. That's a plain old dumb camera. That's a dashcam.
Mobile phones - every year, they get better. More cameras, bigger batteries, faster, better Bluetooth. Cars - every year new features, the technology trickles down from high end models, lane assist, blind spot monitoring.
Wyze camera doesn't even put out a local stream, a 'feature' one would expect as standard in a security camera.

  • Nice comparison video for this camera and a few of the nearby price points for anyone interested
    https://youtu.be/Naufg0K6VqI

  • for anyone who is interested in this camera,

Although it is annke, it has hikvision guts.

It dosent have B/W mode so need to be placed in a well lighted area to work properly.

Has built in warm light that turns on at night, can be irritating.

Warm light can be switched off but affects image quality.
