X13 is good build quality. As for specs to price - I’d say above average given retail pricing but average for a deal.

The screen is the only thing that puts me off.

I picked up a similar spec’d XPS13 2in1 for the same price with a 4K screen that does 500nit brightness a few months ago.

Only advice I’d give to anyone is don’t bother with the i7 in an ultrabook. Save that coin for a larger SSD or more RAM perhaps (if the config allows) as the i7 turns into an i5 very quickly with limited thermal protection based on most ultrabook testing.

    • a 1 tb ssd sadly increases the price by $400, hard to justify for a 500 gb upgrade,

      • Yep. I guess my point being if the i5 was $400 cheaper I’d recommend that you swapped 1 for 1. In any case 500gb should be more than enough for most people and external storage is:

        1. Always cheaper
        2. Provides additional redundancy
    • 4K seems a bit overkill on a 13".

Very much agree. But it’s more the fact I’d take 4K 500nits over 300nits for the samd price.

Seems ok? My friend picked up the basic E15 for $1124-00 in EOFY sale i7 1165G7 processor and worse display but other specs seem to be equivalent. E15 Would be cheaper built as well I reckon.

x13's are great and the build quality is superb, as for spending $2k on a new one given the number of refurbished carbons out there maybe not so great of a deal.

  • not bad for this price, I just got an quote from Lenovo and may pay for it soon, take advantage of the 10% cashback and amex offer.
11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 with 16G mem 256G ssd, price is $1614. if the AMEX and cashback works it will be around 1300.
Always want an mac air but it seems can only get an 8G mem for this price, and the non-replaceable ssd really sucks.
