    Only for first timers

    • Yup as mentioned in the description

      • +2

If you can please add to title. I am one of those that click without reading pass the title 🙃

Edit. Actually forget it. Title is long enough 🙂

Is there a way to tell if you have used the extension for a purchase before?

    • +2

Check your CB history. If you have used and claimed bonus before, it will be shown there: "Extension Bonus".

      • Thank you

      • Damn just checked it … I had got the biggest extension bonus of $2 …

Lesson: Don't try immediately when something new is introduced.. Once you try that, they don't care about you. They care only about the new users .. :P..

        • Yeah, I snatched the $5 bonus 3 months ago, so not that bad. Imo, you should skip anything less than $5.

  • can cashrewards still track after this extension being installed?

    • +1

Yes. The extension only activates if you click on it while browsing the site that you want to purchase from. So if you want cashback from Cashrewards, you just go through the Cashrewards site as per normal (and don't activate the extension once you've been redirected).

  • looks like giftcard store is also included in browser extension

    • isn't the giftcard store app only?

      • i searched 'giftcard' in the extension and the giftcard store showed up

        • I don't have it in my extension, sad

  • not this again

  • Is there a minimum spend? Will it work with Amazon?

    • No min spend stated as T&C. It should work IF the Amazon item is in a category that is eligible for cashback.

      • so if i buy something for 50c i should get $7 cashback still?

        • As long as that purchase meets the other criteria in the T&C, my assumption is yes.

  • Is this for first time shopback user or first time extension user?

Does this give cashback in amazon for this item?

      First question: the latter

Second question: no, Electronics is currently a 0% cashback category

      • First answer : Thanks!
        Second answer : Damn!!

  • Good but just a bit hesitant esp if buying big items

  • Thanks OP. Done, hasn't tracked yet though. Bought floss from CW, if cashback tracks and $7 eventually approves, the floss would've cost me <$0.50 and will last 4 months.

  • Argh. I sold out for a lousy $2 last year. Should've held out

This should not appear in the challenges section for those of us who don't qualify…

  • Does this bonus count towards the $10 of confirmed cashback?

  • Will it qualify if I purchase item from ebay using gift cards?

Also I installed the chrome extension, then I clicked on the activiate the $7 extension challenge. Will this matter?

  • Will this stack with the $10 cashback for the $10 ebay gift card promotion?

  • Does the extension track immediately or does it take a while? I just bought from ebay using egift card at about 2pm today and still haven't tracked.

    • +1

eBay normally takes a day or two to track.

  • I installed the browser extension and removed it to de-clutter my browser. Will it work if I re-install it and use it for this offer? Ideally it should show an error when we accept this challenge if we have already used a browser extension before - instead it just lets everyone accept the challenge. I don't remember if I have used it but account history shows a $2 cashback in my account under "Mar21 OzBargain Extension Bonus" title so I assume that I have used it once.

  • Just because this shops in my ShopBack account, does that mean I am eligible?

Or is this showing in the accounts of others who have use the extension before?

    • +1

I think you are eligible if it shows up in your account. I remember I used extension before but still got it (not in another account). My purchase already resulted in this challenge completed, reward pending.

      • How long did it take to become completed for the challenge? My purchase has tracked but the extension challenge is still in progress :(

        • Does it show completed now? Mine was done almost a day ago, still showing started although transaction tracked early last evening.

  • +1

Does anyone not receiving challenge completed message? Do we usually receive challenge completed message? And how long does it take? Tracked 12 hours ago but challenge still showing started. Very confuse.

    • I got completed on mine.

      • Thanks.

      • How long did it take after the purchase?

        • +1

Probably 18 hours after purchase on eBay. I think a batch just went through given it when from 300 to 1000 now.

          • @Sheng: Not mine. Odd. I believe browser extension only works on desktop, right?

            • @apple0604: I had to message them via the help chat bot and they applied it to my account manually.

              • @Plasma Ball: I was promised but nothing happened. Still waiting.

              • @Plasma Ball: Did they apply $7 credits to your account or just add the rewards to your account as pending subject to normal cash back being confirmed? Thanks.

  • it says not to use the extension for amazon as it doesnt track in the terms. can anyone confirm otherwise? does pet food on amazon qualify?

  • @gotyourback I still haven't had the $7 tracked, bought something on eBay on the 14th (just before midnight). It says I purchased on the 15th even though it was the 14th.

    • Hey mate, I can see on our system that your order was placed at exactly 00:00am on the 15th.
Which would explain why the $7 isn't being tracked to your account, as the order needed to be placed prior to 11:59pm on the 14th.

I'm sure this was an unintentional mistake, so I've gone ahead and credited the $7 to your account.
Send me a DM if you have any further questions.
      Thanks!

      • Thanks rep. I definitely did get the order in before 11:59pm (note the time) but it seems that because I partly paid with gift cards the payment was pending for a couple of minutes so eBay didn't record the order as complete straight away I guess? I actually got the PayPal payment authorisation email at 11:57pm and the eBay purchase confirmation email at 12:03am.

        • All good mate, thanks for sending that across!
I'm not certain if the gift cards would cause this, but it's possible.

I apologize as it clearly wasn't a mistake on your end, and appears to be a mishap with system reporting.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
          Cheers!
