  • Looks like also no balance transfer fee based on the fine print I read.

  • Has anyone spent the $3k and received points already? T&C's say it may take 8 weeks…

    • Received the bonus 50k points within a week of reaching the $3k spend. It may be relevant that I reached the $3k spend just before the end of a statement period.

  • Just tried. Our PayPal account is a business account so it is not eligible.

  • Their customer service is shocking. I got my card approved. Its showing in the wallet but not linked to Paypal account. i cant view balance, statements, points etc. I called and messaged many time but no success. The call centre keeps saying they don't have access to it and to email or chat. No response to chat or email.

  • Just applied for a card yesterday, how long did it take on average for you guys to get a response back saying your application was approved?

  • My card was approved and activated but when I log in to the Paypal account, there is no "Paypal Rewards Card" section. Until now, I have no clue about my balance nor how to pay the statement when it is due. Trying to contact Paypal for the last 3 weeks but no one can help me. They just pushed my case around and said someone would contact me but no one does… Does anyone here face the same problem?

    • I believe you have to link the card to your account. You should have received an email (maybe in spam) with the subject "Your PayPal Rewards Card is on the way!".

      Instructions on the email:

      1. Activate your card and set up your PIN at https://paypal-credit.com.au/apps/activate .
Don't forget to sign the back of your card.

      2. Add your card to your PayPal wallet.
Log in to your account at paypal.com/au and add your new card. If you don't have a PayPal account, you will need to create one. Signing up is quick and easy.

      3. Click on 'Complete verification' below to complete the verification steps required to set up access to your PayPal Rewards Card account.
Once these steps are complete, you'll be able to log in to PayPal to view your account, manage your card online or in the PayPal app, and contact us when you need to.

If you're already done this and it still doesn't show up, then unfortunately there's no more info I can give you :/

      • I received the email with the same subject line but did not contain the instructions mentioned. It is just the terms and conditions of the card.

        • +1

I have same issue. I send numerous emails, phone calls and complaints and still nothing from PayPal. They just keep hand balling yoy between citi bank and PayPal saying it's not their problem.

  • anyone know where to find out what are the "750,000+ eligible PayPal businesses", I tried many places never encountered one accept to use points to pay thus far.

    • Based on my experience so far using points, when you select "pay with Paypal" at an online retailer and you can select the funding source, you can select "use points" instead. I don't think it works offline though.

      • can I kindly ask which online store have you seen with use points option? so that I can check it out as to whether it is the stores I visited online don't have use points option or I am missing something else.

        • I've not used it a lot because I only got the points more recently, but redeemed at Chemist Warehouse and StickerMule so far. I just checked that it's an option under Boost mobile as well.

          • @highwind: THank you! I will check it :) greatly appreciated!

            • @angelfromhell: No problem. I've just also used points to donate to Wikipedia via Paypal, so it seems to be very broadly usable.
I've forgotten to do this before, so just a reminder that when you select the Paypal Credit Card as a payment method, a small menu will appear, where you can tick the checkbox for using points (it will tell you how many points it will cost).

              • @highwind: Tried Chemist Warehouse, still no pay with points option. :(
just when click proceed, it just automatically used my credit card.

                • @angelfromhell: I'll try to remember to make a screenshot next time I order from Chemist Warehouse.
For me, when you select "Paypal" and click "Pay Securely", it will open a Paypal window to log in to Paypal.
Once you log in, it should show all your credit cards linked to your Paypal.
If you have linked the Paypal Rewards card to your account, then it should appear as a card with a dropdown menu, which includes a checkbox to "pay with points".
While not exactly the same, it looks very similar to the Visa card in this screenshot from the internet:

  • So I applied for the new card back in September and managed to spend $3000 in a month. It's been a month now and I am still waiting for my 50,000 points. How long did it take for you guys to receive your bonus points?

  • won't use citi anymore too much bad and unreasonable experience with them.

  • My card just arrived and now realise I’ve made a mistake - how is there no Apple Pay or Google Pay! I don’t carry my wallet around anymore. Hell I often don’t carry my phone around anymore as I can pay with my Apple Watch. Gonna be a struggle to meet the $3k spend. Also the website and customer support is terrible!

  • I have tried to redeem the points.
However, I have tried few of the largest sites in AU (e.g. eBay). None of them has the option for me to redeem the points at checkout.
Anyone has a list of sites that I can redeem the points at checkout?

  • Just signed up to this credit card and I'm regretting it.

App just links to the Citi bank website and is pretty clunky. PayPal app is great, but this website just gives me nightmares of the BOQ website.

    No Apple Pay support.

  • Looks like they've temporarily stopped this now:

We are not currently accepting new applications for the PayPal Rewards Card. Any inflight applications will continue to be processed. Existing cardholders can continue to enjoy the benefits of the PayPal Rewards Card.

  • cannot find the link where to apply for
