Aren't large value pizzas already $5 without a code?

    • +16 votes

      Not for delivery they aren’t

      •

        Yup you're right… Didn't see delivery!

    •

Just tried a random location in Sydney. Delivery menu price for pepperoni is $20.15 and it didnt even meet the minimum delivery requirement of $21.90

      •

Haha. Anyone else would do it better and cheaper.

Never buy delivery, only pick up.

Cannot understand that delivery costs extra for each pizza.

It should be a flat fee, regardless of amount (up to a reasonable amount, e.g. 3 or 4 pizzas, that can be fit in a car or scooter).

For example, there is another offer on a different day that is $3,$5,$7 for pick up. That means that you are paying an extra $5 per pizza for delivery. When it should just be an extra $5 in total.

For example, 3 premiums should be $21 pickup and $26 delivered (not $36 delivered).

    •

I dont know their formula either to calculating delivery price. But Im deducing that if you have a small order then they may tag you onto another order to be delivered together. However a big order will mean they will specifically send you out with a dedicated driver for your order.

I guessing that's how they have a competitive advantage over the local mum/dad store.

      •

If you look at most of the coupons they send out, it looks like delivery is usually a flat fee.

        e.g. a coupon 2 Pizzas + 2 Sides - $25.95 pickup and $30.95 delivered.

So it's a flat $5 extra for delivery, not $5 per pizza.

Makes the coupon much less value.

I used to work for Domino's it's a strange system. But the first pizza itself no matter what it is, is $21.95. Then the pizzas thereafter are slightly raised in price to account for delivery.

They only deliver with another order if it's very busy and two houses are close together/on the way.

        •

          Hey.

I ordered a pizza about 3 hours ago to be delivered at 7.15pm.

I checked the tracker at 7.10pm and they are still making it?!

When did my local store receive my order and how come they can’t get it here on time with 3 hours notice ? (Despite them being I’m sure very busy)

          Thanks.

          •

@Eeples: Provided you ordered online, the order comes up on the screen automated at the approximate time that it should take to come out the oven and to your house as well. It's a different story if you called up the store itself and asked for it to be delivered at 1915 (that's their mismanagement of time).

Sometimes there is a huge rush especially during peak dinner hours and unfortunately it does cause some delay and there's not much the store can do about it.

If you ask politely they will often chuck in a free drink/garlic bread to keep the customers happy.

I guess that’s how they make their money.. some delivery drivers are getting close to $20 an hour. Gotta pay them somehow.
And who orders delivery without a voucher anyway?

      • +11 votes

Wow. Almost getting the minimum wage. That's amazing!

        • +1 vote

I mean what do you expect when you want cheap pizza delivered cheap?

          • +5 votes

@Pinchy: I expect all workers to get at least the minimum wage plus 10% for super. I don't want cheap stuff at the expense of workers.

        • -2 votes

          Its dominos. No skill required.

          • +4 votes

@Jugganautx: I didn't realise that "unskilled" workers were not entitled to minimum wage. My bad.

  • +5 votes

How ami going to remember this? I can't even remember to take the pizza out of the oven

Really looking forward to the 6th of July.

Yes. Start up your time machines.

  •

Like the earlier commenter, I didn't realise until now that Domino's is not charging a delivery fee, but instead inflates its pizza prices, eg. Simply Cheese is $11.95, two of them are $23.90 in total etc. If you add a traditional-range pizza on the top of it, it's $21.65 extra.

Note, as per the descirption, each code in this deal is for a different range of pizza and you can apply multiple different codes.

It's basically how most places do it now unfortunately.

      Uber eats is the same.

      •

Has uber stopped charging $5 (or whatever it was) for delivery? I don't order via those services as there's always been inflated prices plus delivery fee. Occassionally, there would be specials with "free delivery", so no delivery fee.

        • +1 vote

Well, what I meant was, they do charge a flat delivery fee (+ a "service fee" now)… But all their food prices a well inflated as well.

Uber eats is actually expensive af, they are just good at hiding it. E.g our local Japanese shop, the meal my wife and I get if I go and pickup is $29, if we get it delivered via uber eats it's about $55.

Super Premium are also $12 or $15 for extra large.

    •

not working for Super Premium, how did you manage to get it for 12?

      •

I just put in the premium code and selected a super premium pizza

      •

OK, it's not working for super premium now. It worked when I tested it last night. My apologies.

        •

It was for me too last night when I tested it but no longer. That's annoying. I wonder what would have happened if we had completed the order last night for tonight? ;)

  •

    I read delivered 24/7..

  •

I get an 'Extended Delivery Fee' of $5.95 because the additional fee 'per pizza' as mentioned above is not enough!!
    I'm only 10 mins away!!

    •

I just backed out, reloaded the site to see how much it was going to cost me to drive there myself, and I'M STILL BEING CHARGED THE EXTENDED DELIVERY FEE!!
Now they're charging ME to pickup! Guess it's peanut butter sandwiches for lunch!

      •

Aldi's Frozen Cheese Pizza 3pack for $6 + Beef mince on top = better than any Domino's carboard pizza!
Very minimal mess and easy to prepare in 1-2 minutes even for an ultimate lazy slob like me.
15-25 minutes in the oven at 150-200 degrees (big variations between ovens and placement in the oven). Will take like 6 pizzas to find the perfect balance but it will be worth it in the end!
Enjoy your juicy and greasy pizza goodness!

Aldi's Frozen Cheese Pizza 3pack for $6 + Beef mince on top = better than any Domino's carboard pizza!

I've heard that before, so I tried and now I disagree. Aldi's 3pack is definitely more a cardboard than Domino's cardboard, and moreover the cheese is, well, funnier than Domino's. It's cheaper, but so is getting 3-4 pizza bases and a bit of more proper cheese.

          •

@pizzaguy: Did you cook it on aluminum foil or baking paper or just on the tray itself? It is a wrong way to do it and I noticed it tastes bad, more watery if cooked like this.
I put it hanging on the grills, so the bottom has proper airflow to cook evenly. This can result in meat fat dribbling down to the bottom, so make sure you have a tray at the bottom to catch it. This is the proper way!

Also, how much beef did you use? I found that 250g of 2-star beef is the perfect balance for it.

getting 3-4 pizza bases and a bit of more proper cheese.

Yeah, that sounds like a lot of effort for my lazy ass, so I am out.

            •

@Blue Cat: On baking paper on a hot tray. Which was is the wrong one again? Also no beef. There was no beef in the instruction.

              •

@pizzaguy: You need to let it "breathe" - make sure there is an air gap under the pizza, like there is an air gap under this beef.

                Also no beef.

I will agree 100% that without the beef, the cheese pizza is really underwhelming, I only tasted it once and that was enough. You have to try putting minced beef on top next time.

                •

@Blue Cat: So you should brown the mince first in a pan?

                  •

@Eeples: Nah, put raw mince on top of the frozen pizza, so that when it cooks, all the delicious fat juice gets absorbed into the pizza base for maximum taste!

I’ve never ordered delivery before, just go and collect as it’s not far. Ordered at 11:30 for 12:30pm delivery. Tracker shows it’s not even cooked yet. Sigh.

    • +4 votes

Update. 20 mins late but they brought two free garlic breads as an apology. Happy days.

      •

Mine's almost half an hour late so far - doubt my local will be as generous.

  •

Worked for me just fine in Sydney inner suburbs. Maybe the minimum fee is store by store?

  •

    Have fun waiting :D

My order was already 45 minutes late then I've spent another 30 minutes trying to call anyone (131 888 and the store directly) to cancel the damn thing. At almost 1.5 hours later, no food and getting hangry isn't fun.

  •

Domino's changes so much per location it's hard to give a blanket statement on them, my current local is amazing, if they have ever been 20min late they give me a 40% off next order coupon, one time been later refunded the whole thing and gave a replacement order for next time.

Where I used to live though, that store couldn't give 2 (profanity), hour late who cares.

It's really hit or miss depending on owner I guess.

  •

$13 delivered for extra large Indian. So that's 1.5 pizzas for $13, but base is no choice; classic.

Enough for 1 person if you are a bit of a guts.

But scared of the kid cooking it

    Thanks OP.

Don't forget garlic bread for $2.95 with code 626748, can be stacked with this deal, might not be all stores.
Or 2 Standard Sides from $7.00* with code 543624.

  • +2 votes

Wow just ordered can't believe how much their pizza has shrunk.

    •

      large = medium now

    •

Yeah, in my experience they downsized their pizza just before they added the new small size option.
A large would leave 3-4 slices for another meal if with garlic bread as well, not any more.
I wish there was a Pizza Hut near me.

  •

Ordered and delivered within 20 minutes

  •

Is there any option to select the size?

  • +2 votes

You can choose 'extra large' where you choose the base of the pizza. +$3

  •

Whats the difference with extra large hand and cheese add pineapple which Total $12
    Or
Get traditional Hawaiian for $10 add $3 for extra large which makes it $13?

Seems $1 cheaper doing this way

    •

I think people have said there's more than 1 lot of ham and pineapple, so you'd get more toppings in theory. The reality may be different.

  •

Very good first post 🤗 I love Pizzaaaa

50 minutes since i ordered and the tracker is still not at the cooking stage

Two pizzas delivered for $8 (using a loyalty pizza reward)… not bad!
