      I have Game Pass on my PC and I play my PS5 way more. Other than Horizon 4 I haven't played a different Game Pass game for several months. I really liked Ghosts of Tsushima and prefer that to games on Game Pass.

          Go to EB Games, sort XBox Series games price high to low and you'll a bunch of old games with a high RRP. $120 for CoD Black Ops that is 7 months old. Microsoft Flight Simulator is $100 despite being nearly a year old. Watch Dogs Legion is 7 months old and costs $100 too. Currently Mass Effect Legendary Edition is $100 for a bunch of really old games. Forza Horzin 4 Ultimate is still $150 RRP on Microsoft store, so a 4 year old game by Microsoft is still high cost.

          It seems that the RRP of many old games is high.

            @FabMan: Same. I like Forza Horizon 4, but it is really annoying after these years it is still expensive to own outright. With Forza Horizon 5 announced, will Forza Horizon 4 continue to remain in GamePass for years to come? It is more likely it will follow Forza Horizon 3 and 2 (in which you can no longer purchase any expansion pack for those). Forza Horizon 4 VIP pack ($$) does make life much easier.

            I recently caved in and purchased Forza Horizon 4 for $25.50 USD, which turns out to cost more than the Ultimate add-on pack I paid earlier. Honestly, while the add-on expansion packs make life easier, they are not as enjoyable as the FH3 expansion packs.

            Also agree with you gaming on Microsoft camp isn't actually dirt cheap, especially if you want to own those games. At least not for me so far. Spending $60+ dollars on a 4 year old game (+ expansion packs) isn't exactly pleasant. Long term subscription on GamePass Ultimate (even through discounted XBox Live Gold upgrade) isn't cheap either. If it weren't due to the 7 day Ultimate voucher, I would have to pay a full month of GamePass Ultimate to do the conversion.

          This is OZB so please do not assume people here stop bargain hunting when it comes to games. Just because they are PS5 enhanced games, it doesn't mean OZBers don't know how to take advantage of it.

          All it takes is don't be so attached to games and don't hold on to them for too long. Physical games can be sold.

          GamePass isn't perfect either. GamePass reward quests can be annoying (if you want the points, you often need to play a lot of indie games). Also, they do not make owning the games cheaper. Forza Horizon 4 shouldn't be still pricey (with 5 coming out soon). Furthermore, are we certain Forza Horizon 4 will remain in GamePass forever? Let's not forget Microsoft do want to entice you to make in game purchases for their games. Furthermore, once Microsoft noticed you are willing to pay for long term GamePass Ultimate, Microsoft stops offering cheap $1 deals on that main account.

          Do you really think Microsoft would have bought Bethesda without Sony being a competitor? The relationship between Microsoft and Sony is getting a bit cloudy with Sony now using Microsoft Azure cloud (which is a Microsoft cash cow). Let's be real here. The more time you spent on games, the less time you have on doing something constructive and make money.

      But any discount is always appreciated :)

      That being said. Gamepass an amazing service No doubt! Its saved me $1000s of dollars on gaming since I got it last year.
      Gamepass has given me more money for Playstation/Nintendo games and Guitars/Shoes and all the other hobbies I'm into. I just need some extra time for all of it.

      Also, anyone that fanboys for a piece of Plastic are pretty pathetic if you ask me.

    If you already own Ghost of Tsushima, a patch will be available with “some” of the new updates when the director’s cut is available, according to Goldfarb. Current owners will also be able to bring their save over to the PS5 version.

    Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will launch on its own for $69.99 on the PS5 and $59.99 on the PS4. But if you have the PS4 version of the original game, the path to upgrading to the director’s cut is a little complex. Here’s how Sony lays it out:

    If you already own Ghost of Tsushima on PS4:

You can pre-order an upgrade to Director’s Cut on PS4 for $19.99 USD. This upgrade will become available starting on August 20.

Starting on August 20:

If you bought Director’s Cut PS4, you’ll be able to upgrade to Director’s Cut PS5 at any time for $9.99 USD

You can also upgrade directly (from original Ghost of Tsushima PS4) to Director’s Cut on PS5 for $29.99 USD

    This all means that for people who want to upgrade to the PS5 version, it’s going to cost $30 whether you take the option to pay $20 now and $10 on August 20th or you choose to just pay $30 at launch.

      Price is already up on PS Store for the expansion of PS4 version at $29.95 AUD, so it would most likely be $39.95 for the full PS5 upgrade.

      I just sold my physical PS4 copy for $40 while it's still worth something.. I'll wait until the physical PS5 version is on marketplace for about $60-$70 because when I'm done with it and sell it, I'll probably get the same money back for it. I can't on sell a $40 digital upgrade from the PS Store. I have no intention on keeping the game once completed.

      The main game - overtime yes it's repetitive.
      However the game is really great with it's scenery especially on PS5.
      ONLINE - Multiplayer Raid is where it's at, I clocked over 100 hours just on the Raid.

      I was thinking of buying PS5 controller for use on my PC but have read many reports that the controller is lower quality and people have already been through 3+ controllers due to the cheap components causing stick drift to develop very quickly. Would hold off until 2nd or 3rd design revision for the controller.

    I grabbed the PS4 in the last sale for $38, still in original shrink-wrap waiting for a ps5 console to play it on. In the meantime gamepass is keeping me occupied, switching between M$ and Sony each generation works out great value, life is too short to be a fanboy, just enjoy the abundance of games at our disposal today on both platforms

        I'll get a PS5 soonish, the ones I've secured went to friends and family. Has been a drought on new console drops lately and I'm so busy on a generation of XB that I'm not in a hurry for ps5.       Just pre-ordered. Not sure why Amazon applied a -$5 promotion, but my grand total is now $74
