Pay No Final Value Fees on Your New eBay Listings @ eBay

140

Check your Seller Hub page for this promotion. I did not get it by email or in their Messages box. I am sure it is targeted.

I saw this Promotional Offer in my Seller Hub:

Receive 100% off your eBay Final Value Fees for the next 30 days for new listings you create on eBay. T&Cs apply.

Note this condition:

What is the Promotion?
Pay no Final Value Fees (“the Discount”) on any new fixed price listings that are listed once and sold during the Discount Period.

Which means the no FVF only applies when your item is SOLD WITHIN the discount period.

There's no limit on the number of listings in their T&Cs.
30 days start when you activate the offer.

Nothing for me, haven't had any for a long while after changing to managed payments. After a month long battle to get my fees back for the Gumtree promotion eBay can go to hell!

agree, fought 3 months to get my fees back for that gumtree promotion. they done mucked it up

      • My sentiment too. Had same FVF issue (using free listings via Gumtree) ever they moved to Managed Payment. But I am a sucker for their freebies ;-)

      • I so knew this would be the case.

eBay and its umbrella companies are becoming so hostile to smaller sellers in just about every situation.

eBay really shooting themselves in the foot with customer service, esp. if their #1 competitor is Amazon

  • Can you provide direct link to seller hub where this should appear?

  • Received the previous offer for 5 listings with no fee, which I activated.

    Didn't get this one though.

    • Could you send the link to 5 listings with no fees offer?

  • yea. then you have to chase them up for fvf like with gumtree promo - everytime had to chase them up.
    meh

It seems as though that has been fixed recently. All my recent sales fees with eBay FVF promos have credited through instantly in the last 2 weeks or so.

I have received outstanding Gumtree fees in the last few days too, looks like they're clearing the backlog and fixing the errors.

      • thanks for sharing!

PSA: take screenshots of the promotion in your seller hub in the likely event it doesn't work. eBay has a habit of trying to weasel out of their offers the last 6 months based on my experience. FVF / Gumtree promotions both not working, chat support arguing not eligible and demanding 'evidence' that I took up promotions, no phone number for support any more, and emails just get ignored.
As stated above, eBay can go to hell.

yea. they say 'show us the promo'
im like, its your promo, you show it to me.
      lol

Yeah I wasn't targeted either, and not sure I want torment myself with a failed Gumtree promotion again

  • Anyone have the acceptance link to this one?

    Cheers mkay

My acceptance link was in the "Promotional offers" section. It was gone once I accepted it. Now it just show me the link to the T&C page in this post.

      • No worries champ.
