      • Spear & Jackson 27" from a tool shop in Adelaide.

        • S&J made in england are good.

          • @lazydesi: ~2017 model, so I wouldn't be certain that it was entirely made in England.

That said, the blade is good, and I have an untouched replacement blade as well. I suspect I will die before the saw does.

            ;-)

PS: I can't die just yet. J.W. Howard needs to go first

  • Order cancelled due to stock shortage.

  • Flimsy, not what i expected from Fiskars

Read the label. It virtually has nothing to do with fiskars except for the label.

OP's usage of '<' bothers me haha.
It doesn't make sense as a direction of change symbol or a less than symbol.

Thanks OP, great timing… Have green waste bin collection tomorrow and needed filling!

Due to the recent wild weather in Melbourne a few weeks ago, had some branches that needed to be cut down to be popped into the bin.

Wow for $5, made light work of 10-15cm diameter branches… Cut through like butter. Got two more as spares, great buy =D

  • How long do the blades usually last (stay sharp & overall durability)? I’m guessing it’s easier to bin this than replace the blade, correct?

Also, I need to cut about 3 big trees & lots of branches; should I buy this over an axe? Or should I only buy the axe or buy the axe & this together? Cheapest axe is $20 but I’m really not sure if I’ll need the axe (I have a pole saw). Appreciate any tips.

    • you will need a proper chainsaw mate plus handsaw.

this item is only suitable to cut small- medium size tree branches.

      • I did consider a chainsaw but I’ve never used one before. They seem really dangerous and heavy.

        • +1

Com’n mate nothing is dangerous if you use with extra precautions.

          think before use.

If your going to use an axe to cut down 3 big trees make sure you take a 2 months off work.

Month 1 - cut down tree with axe
Month 2 - recover from cutting tree with an axe

    • I used the 76cm one for cutting down some branches and a small tree. It was like cutting through butter with a hot knife. Couldn't believe it. Such little effort. Had tried to use a hand saw previously but it was useless. Can recommend, but careful the blade is very sharp. Can't comment on durability as have not had to do any more work for some time.

  • Any tips on how to make an extension? the branches I want to cut are hanging over from the neighbour and the ladder is not tall enough

    • +1

      You cannot extend these.

For an extension saw you need something like this

    • My asian parents just sent me up the tree even though I am scared of heights.

      • it will be only scary for few minutes.

        but that is life.

  • Any order cancellations yet?

    • +4

I turned myself inside out trying to fulfil click and collect orders for these! Should have known my beloved Ozbargain was behind it!

And yes, unfortunately in my case, I had to end up cancelling one order but a huge thank you to the customer who took it extremely well.

  • Will this cut metal? Such as screws or bolts?

    • +1

      As is - no.

If you can find a 21" hacksaw blade, it may work. 😎

  • Had no issues ordering and picking up in Capalaba Bunnings :)

  • Order cancelled:(

Cant find it on the search results page!

    • +2

That's not a good reason to neg a deal. It was working fine for me and most of the people, you obviously missed it doesn't means that you neg it.

      • -2

Yeah but isnt it a normal policy that once a product is unavailable, the listing should be updated with appropriate keyword like OOS, listing removed etc ?

Even the OP has stated that "product listing was removed but it's appearing under search results", but even that is incorrect. It's not appearing in search results either.

So in this case, can you please explain negging it is unjustified?

Still in stock for some stores

  • I went to Bunnings 2x today to buy some stuff and I totally forgot to pick up my order for this. (Facepalmed)
