It's best to purchase using PayPal with a card with no FX fees and let your card provider calculate the FX rate.

Can confirm that using PayPal with card is better. Got charged US$51 when paying directly (even though card had no FX Fees).

    • I got charged that extra dollar last week when I bought some coffee. I think it’s just a new flat rate charge to scam.

  • I bought it and went through PayPal and got charged $69.64

    • +1

Are you using a 'No Foreign Fee Card' or PayPal's Exchange rate?

    • Same, I just bought paypal charge AUD 69.64

    • $66.79 for me

    • +7

That's because you let Paypal convert it.

You need to click on "See currency options" and then select "USD".

    • Same happened to me it looked like it was only charging USD and I selected my 28 degrees but PayPal stitched me up

    • Paypal tried to charge me 115

    • $68.78 here. Using CC without foreign fees.

  • +7

Also purchased this to replace my vacuum cleaner.

    • +8

You might need a chiropractor too

  • Just paid via PayPal using 28 degrees card and ended up being $66.79. Pretty wrapped with that.

    • +2

      almost 1/2 a coffee

    • Same here. Always wanted one of these, finally caught a deal at a price I'm happy to pay.

    • +2

      Rapt?

  • Is this worth it to have suction I wouldn't think it would have much suction power.

    • From memory blowing is upgraded

      • I'm sold

        • +8

          Im blown away

  • anyone have have experience with how long this site takes to deliver

    • +1

      Got mine within 2 weeks

  • Hi all, would this be okay to have in a car for storage/usage or overkill?

    • +2

I wouldn't recommend to keep it in your glove box during summer as one of my rechargeable device kept in the glove box not functioning any more.
May be storing it with backup tyre may be safe, but not sure

    • from a youtube video it doesnt look very practical for a car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMQxyr1h8kQ

  • +1

Do i need this when i have a dyson already?

    • Also want to know if it's worth getting just for dusting if I already have a cordless vacuum (Viomi A9 that recently replaced my aging Dyson V6)?

      • +2

Only if you lack the head for smaller areas (Like cleaning the car). If you have the right adapters then it's much better to just stick with the vacuum.

This product is only really good for cleaning Pc's and keyboards with its blowing function. It works out to be cheaper than canned air long term. Especially at $66

        • Does this seriously blow with enough force to replace compressed air cans?

          • @Xastros: I probably can't say it'll be as good or better than compressed air cans but yes I Would say it blows with enough force to replace them and gets the job done.

            • @MrMoo: Thank you. Purchased.

              • @Xastros: No worries mate. Enjoy!

Don't expect much from the sucking option lol. I'm not even planning to use it for that.

                • +1

@MrMoo: Cheers, I pretty much only want to use it to clean my PCs.

      • +3

if you only want a duster this one is also on sale for 50% off from the same store and works out to around aud$40

        • Thanks. Would it work well for general dusting duties around the house, on furniture etc?

          • +2

@elektron: im not sure i only just now bought the non vac duster only one for dusting the pc case out and keyboard too

        • +1

half the blowing power of this, though

          • @[Deactivated]: where did you see it has only half the blowing power of this

            • +1

              @BargainWizard: 33000 RPM vs. 60000 RPM

              • +1

@Wakrak: oh i see well thanks for the info i might consider cancelling the other one and getting this

edit: done it thanks again to you and @FRBZ too for pointing that out :)

              • +1

                @Wakrak: Opolar claims 28m/s vs 30m/s
Some online results show 23 vs 26 m/s
Or 7-10% more powerful as a blower.

Unless you want the vacuum then better stick with $38 deal

                • @wjb: lol now you tell me but i cant change it again and i think im happy with the stronger upgraded motor :)

        • I think this cheaper one is also acceptable to get the job done. The more expensive model is just more power (twice as much) and who doesn't want more power!

    • +1

This does not replace a Dyson… It's main use is the air blower for computers and hard to reach areas. It still doesn't remove microdust.

    • +1

I'm on the same boat and I have both. What I can tell you is that this thing can easily get into those tight spot where Dyson can't. And it's particularly good at blow/vac the keyboard.

  • Good timing! my Dyson just died…

    • +8

You'll most likely be disappointed if you're comparing this to an actual Dyson Vacuum (for big area).

      • +1

Thanks for the heads up. No worries, my area isn't that big.. Just for the small bedrooms

        • +4

Do you sleep in a cupboard?

          • @Jugganautx: lol not that small…

          • +1

@Jugganautx: I think that's standard for most new apartment bedrooms in the CBD of a large capital city.

  • +3

I bought this when it was $110 and am really happy with it. much more delicate than a dyson V6 for intricate stuff like keyboards / computer towers, lego

  • Fudge, can I cancel my other order?

    • The email response time is slow.. It'll be shipped first

    • I just placed another order while cancelling the first one, hope they will respond soon.

      • Damn I want to do this too but it sounds risky.

        • What to lose? If got delivered I might sell it on eBay at cost

          • @rainbowyen: Ebay has final value fees and the extra effort.

            • @enwar: Free via gumtree and man you are talking about risk of a few more dollars and little effort, it’s not 5000 bucks mate, probably less than replying and hesitating

              • -4

@rainbowyen: Gumtree still has final value fees. Plus you're forgetting about the shipping. I'm going to tell the admin to revoke your OzB card.

                • @enwar: Whoa, that joke didn't go down well.

                  • -1

@FabMan: It needed to die at some point

  • Thanks ordered. Missing my O2 hurricane after it died. I understand this isn't as powerful, hoping it will hit the "good enough" sweet spot.

  • +1

66.79AUD charged to Bankwest. Looks like they use the same rate as 28Degrees.

Glad to have something make cleaning my PC a bit easier…

  • Bought. Thanks op

  • I've got one of these but branded differently. Still uses micro usb for charging for those that care.

The vacuum suction isn't much to write home about and the blue bit is hard to clean. I'd stick with my dreame v9 for easier cleaning including the car.

    • I don't know say comparing it too one of those high pressured cans to compare the blower part or more powerful towards compared too a leaf blower, I'm just trying too picture how much blow this thing does, would it blow dirt off your cars mat outside of your car while door is open, as have one of those small 5000mAh vacums (doesn't blow) which is useless for heavy dirt within the car so maybe blowing the dirt out us easier

      • It won't do much to a dirty car mat. I've actually got a dust pan brush in the car and it is extremely good at cleaning the car mats

        • +1

          Yeah true that's all that's needed 👍😁

      • +1

It would work well for cleaning your flux capacitor.

  • Great deal. Paid around 100 during a prime day lightning deal. Sucks that they're still micro usb though, when that cheaper one with the torch is type c.

    • +1

But this has 60000 rpm vs the torch one which is 45000…

  • Does this work well with things like Vacuum bags?

  • Had been spending $100 each year on air dusters on the company electronic equipment. Giving this a try and hope it works just as well.

  • Is this much better at blowing than the other Opolar deal?

    • +4

Depends if you like to blow or suck. Everyone has their preference.

      • -1

Depends if you like to blow or suck. Everyone has their preference.

cough cough ….are we still discussing about this duster? Asking for a friend

      • +1

it blows better than suck. Here's your answer.

Don't use it the wrong way or have any other fantasies. It sucks at sucking, great at a blow job

    • OPOLAR Newest Air Duster - This is an upgraded version of air duster. Equipped with the newest hurricane super motor.

Looks like it. Also it's rechargeable instead of battery operated.

      • +1

        They're both rechargeable.

        • +1

You are right, funny how they labeled the other one battery operated and this one cordless. Gave me the impression the other one is running on batteries instead of rechargeable batteries.

  • $66.79

Thanks for the tip on changing it to USD guys.

    • When I clicked on the AUD, it shows as $66.30AUD, or is it cheaper if I select usd and let paypal do the conversion?

  • thanks OP, bought one for my keyboard/PC and carpet in my room. Hopefully, it's good enough.

  • People joking about using this to replace Dyson yeah? It's great for desks, cars (don't leave it in car), but wouldn't use it for whole room cleaning

    • why not in the car?

      • More on hot days. The internal battery can degrade. Should be fine to leave over winter or in cooler climates

  • Anyone know if this is strong enough to pick up pet hair? I get a lot of cat hair in the crevices along windows/sliding doors that I can't get out. That and I tend to spill coffee grounds a lot, would be handy for that.

  • -4

    $35 from Aliexpress

    • Well, shit.

    • +8

That's for the filter.. the actual item is $95 AUD + GST.

      • Oh, you're completely correct. My bad!

      • +1

Thank you. Me suffer heap big buyers regret for a moment there.

    • It’s knock off

      • Which Chinese factory do you think manufactured the original?

        • Dude opolar is a Chinese brand and MIC too

          • +1

@rainbowyen: Leave MIC outta this! He's got nothing to do with it. 👍

    • That price is 3x filters, not the blower vac which is $95
