Are these magnetic too? All screwdrivers I find are either magnetic or electric, can't seem to find one with both :(

    • the bits are magnetic apparently, in the Q&A section this was asked

  • Is this worth getting for building PCs with? Just use one of those Stanley precision screwdriver sets atm.

I'm keen to buy but not if it's a gimmick, anyone got experience?

    • +1

You don't need a precision screwdriver for building pcs just a regular one

I own the wowstick and find it quite useful.
I bought this same kit some time ago on sale, and have bought two since as presents.

It is great to have a large number of bits, for the rare occasion when you come across an unusual head. Mostly though I just use the one tube with the most common bits.

Torque is adequate but not fantastic. If screws are on too tight, you can still turn the driver as if it were a normal screwdriver, and as soon as it loosens the motor kicks in and undoes the rest.

Similarly it only tightens so far, then you manually finish it off to a tightness you are comfortable with. Given that small screws are subject to damage due over tightening, I actually prefer this approach.

Overall I would recommend this for the electronics enthusiast… also for the toolbox of occasional tinkerers.

    • How does this work?

      1x Dock Charge Base

      • That's just a heavy base to hold the screwdriver upright while it charges.
        It doesn't charge the unit.

        • The base is pretty useless. It's designed with the rounded base downwards, so it's not actually very stable. For instance the charging cable will pull it over if you try to charge it while it's standing in the base. I don't understand why they didn't put the flat base at the bottom.

  • I finally got my wowstick delivered from an early April order from Kogan yesterday

    • Same :D

      Did you get the $10?

      • Mine was $24.99 from Kogan ordered in April. Its been posted but not delivered yet.

        • Yeah that was the deal I got, was meant to be a week deliver

      • No, maybe because I did the first trial and cancelled it straight away haha

  • Are electric screwdrivers safe from over-torquing and wearing off screw heads?

    • Doesnt have enough torque

  • I just bought this set last week and paid $44.xx something. Postage was fast from AU like in 3 days.

Nice set, I like the lockable housing and magnetic bit holder.

Has 2 torque settings but you can use it like a screw driver by putting the switch in the center and just easing off any tight held screws to then rapidly undo.

I am not using it all the time but pretty happy having it for electronics and smalls that need opened or repaired.

Mijia or Wowstick. I have the manual one but which is better to grab?

    • +2

I have the wowstick and it's good, but I have a few gripes about it.

      1. The base is pretty useless as it has a rounded bottom. It falls over every time you bump it.
      2. Because it's a lot thicker than a manual screwdriver it doesn't fit into small spaces. Obviously better than most electric screwdrivers, but you'll still find times when a manual one is better.
      3. The bits come in little tubes which aren't nearly as useful as a case. The kit comes with a case as well, but it only fits the driver and one (out of three) tubes of bits in it.
      4. The charging port on mine has come loose - presumable the solder has broken. I can charge it but only when the cable is pulling a certain way. They're nearly impossible to disassemble so I can't fix it.

I do get use out of it, it lives on my desk for fixing things quickly, but, I think I'd have been better served with the manual one and bit kit.

  • anyone know why the mijia one takes so much longer to charge it takes 160-200 minutes compared to 40 minutes for the wowstick

  • Where do you get these promo codes from?

    • At the top of the page you will see 2 codes, BG3dc2cb is for the Mijia one but the other is for the Wowstick

      • As in, where did OP get these promo codes from? They're not listed on Banggood at all.

        • I cant speak for the original poster but perhaps they are his codes generated by Banggood for his Referrer link?

Don't know however send him a private message and ask them 👍

  • Is this any good for putting together IKEA furniture in a pinch, or not quite powerful enough?

  • Got my Mijia 4 days after ordering. Nice!

  • Says free shipping now, but adds $8 when I go to buy it.. stupid…
