I got a set of these on a previous deal - exceptional sound quality for the $ - large sweet spot & great for smaller rooms - low fatigue levels even in long mix sessions - but if you like KRK monitors then you wont like these - there is no pronounced bass

    • Nothing some EQ can't fix. Easier to start from flat then EQ to your taste than hope the speaker is exactly the signature you want.

  • For anyone wondering if they want computer speakers (eg Audioengine) or these - you want these.

  • I also got the previous deal. Running them on my PC and they are so good I might go back for seconds

  • Mmm. Got a Focal car sound system, Focal Sphear. I want these, but do I really need it? Got plenty of speakers scattered all over the place as it is already. Sigh…

Just note the only critical review:

    Standby fail
Review by Yiu on 26 Apr 2018review stating Standby fail Great sound, stupid implementation of auto-standby. If you don’t have the music turned up (eg classical) the speakers will go into standby. This can’t be adjusted or defeated. And since it is “working as intended” you can’t get a refund either

Shouldn’t be an issue for most, but having had another brand’s sub that did this when playing at low volumes, the constant switching eventually killed it. The new EVO model fixes by making it a user selectable feature.

  • OP, nice username. Had me going for a second…
