    "induction Wok" is an oxymoron.
Induction does NOT heat the sides of a wok like gas…. you will NOT get the same results.

Gas rules for sure but sadly I've only been able to cook with electric cooktops - on 3 Continents now and 30+ years. Memo - get gas NEXT time!

Anyway, for cooking with electric cooktops I've found you either use a heavy cast iron deep pan e.g. Lodge - they work well but make sure you get a deep one….

Otherwise just buy an electric wok and they work quite well. Sunbeam make some nice ones but you'll never get close to real wok on gas… Make sure you get the ones with the biggest wattage rating and cook on MAX.

    • I've been in two houses now with a gas wok burner but the gas line isn't big enough to give you a good flame so it doesn't really do what it's supposed to. Winter time with gas heater and hot water service running makes it even worse and then there's pressure drops in the suburb because all houses are doing to same. Sometimes the local restaurants have supply issues and can't run their kitchens.

Ended up getting a wok ring and running it off an LPG bottle.
