Help with Tablet Purchase from Kogan

Hello,

Uni is just around the corner and I was looking to purchase a tablet for studying/taking notes in. I saw this post in Kogan about a galaxy tab S7, I understand Kogan is a dodgy website but the price is too good to pass up. Thoughts about purchasing this?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Wi-Fi - Silver (128GB) $873

    becextech is the seller.

    Slightly cheaper direct

Grey import shipped by a less than reputable seller really worth $200 saving?

Try your luck with pricematch at officeworks.

    • To expand on the grey import aspect - Grey import has no warranty through Samsung, only with Kogan/Becextech

        only with Kogan/Becextech

What could possibly go wrong there?

  • Guess you must be a legit newbie here…Just use the search and see what everyone has to say about Kogan and decide if you still want to buy a tab let alone anything from Kogan.

  • You acknowledge that Kogan are dodgy yet you still want to pursue a purchase for the sake of saving a few bucks? Seriously, you will deserve what you get.

    Welcome to OzTablets.

I understand Kogan is a dodgy website

You'll learn by reading previous threads not only here but throughout the Internet that any purchase of one of Kogan's Grey imports is throught with danger.

You may be lucky, but if not forget about after sales service, refunds, or assistance when something goes wrong.

    Thoughts about purchasing this?

Here is the dangerous part. JUST DONT DO IT!!!!!!

  • OzBargain should ban new users who ask either of these 2 questions as first posts:
    1) What do I do? My Kogan purchase went sour!
    2) What do I do? I hit a car, but have no insurance!

My advice to OP is, get car insurance so at least when your tablet breaks you'll sleep easy knowing that at least your car is covered, & you won't have to post here again when you have an accident. You'll need the car initially when the cheap courier service makes you pickup the tablet from their depot 100km away because they didn't bother checking if you're home.. Afterwards, you'll be taking the tablet back and forth from service centres, post offices and XCAT.

  • $873 is certainly not too good to pass up.

Looks like OP has either gone shy on us or doesn't like the advice they were given.
