Decent price for classic Beatles albums on vinyl. I had a price alert for Revolver on the camels. It seems the only Beatles albums on sale for this price are Revolver and Let It Be. Both are $30.39

  • I swear it showed up as 39c first…

  • Is Revolver the best Beatles album?

it would certainly be in the conversation, but I prefer Rubber Soul.

both sound far better in their original mono mix though, so I would avoid this. The stereo mixes from 2009 are garbage, stuff hard-panned all over the shop.

I should clarify that when I say both here I'm talking about Revolver and Rubber Soul. Its my understanding that all their recordings up to and including Sgt. Peppers were done primarily with mono releases in mind, and that more care was put into the stereo releases after that period.

So with that in mind, Let it Be is probably still worth picking up here if you like the material. For me its one for completionists only.

Bummer, I ordered this version of Revolver. I have listened to a few remasters on Qobuz and the hard panning with an instrument coming entirely from either left or right channel sounds terrible, especially in my HD6XX headphones that have terrible imaging and soundstage.
It does say the original release for this was 1994, but the photo of the back of the record on Amazon says 2009.

    Revolver ocelot: spinning pistols intensifies

  • Hm I wonder if it is the stereo or the mono album.

    • Looks like it's stereo by the description.

GET BACK is getting released late this year, it's the proper 'Let it Be' film release and streaming over 3 nights on Disney with a multi CD/BluRay disc set for casual or completist fan

  • I got this a few days ago and i am really happy with the quality. Thick heavy vinyl that is perfectly flat. Sound quality sounds great to me. It is stereo but there is no strange panning and sounds lke classic Beatles.
