Bonds first moved all their manufacturing to China and now they're completely owned by a foreign corporate in Hanes since 2016 and it's made wherever is cheapest. But during that time, they never seemed to decrease their prices, just move to being perpetually 30-40% off. So I suppose 50% off isn't too bad. But it's like the constantly discounted Champion stuff we see on here, same brand.
I need to buy some comparable Rio and Bonds stuff one day and see if it's the same or not. It probably is, but Rio is usually cheaper.
My experience is Rio is lesser quality. I still prefer Bonds but I buy only when 50% off.
Use size guide at BigW (the Amazon pop size guide doesn't work).
If you're a bigger lad, don't assume the 2XL will cut it… sizing looks to be quite small.

2XL in these are regulars.
But a 2XL in trunks is too small. Guessing it's my thunder thighs?

I think they label things the way they do these days to protect the egos of manlets. They want to buy an L size, even though they are a S or M.
It then makes larger men have to buy 2XL or 3 or even 4XL!

@jecec: I get what you are saying. I normally wear briefs, M size. A friend of mine gave me those fancy step one boxers, I find them ok but uncomfortably tight around the private parts. So far I have been the happiest with RIO, Aldi underwear and then Bond, the model with the opening at the front.

If I go a bigger size, then it gets too loose around the waist and thighs.
Bonds seems to have these "big" discounts quite often these days. Coles, Woolies, Big W etc etc.
